Both my '98 F355 and my '01 Porsche 996 have had some shrinkage in the dash leather that I would like to get fixed. Any recommendations on shops in the San Jose area that can do this?

    Thanks!

Sid's Custom Upholstery in Mtn View. Perfect match of materials and stitching. Charged us $300 for our F355 binnacle - which we had removed ourselves. Initially they didn't get the stitching just right, so they re-did the job and the resulting piece came out better than factory.

We've had them recover and rebuild Recaros (they are authorized repair center), for very reasonable rates. The first job they did for us was over 10 years ago for a semi-track car, and it's still holding up very well.

I have been told by multiple different sources that Bascom Trim and Upholstery is the best. I have no affiliation or financial interest in this company. They are currently doing some work on my wife's Lexus that we should get back next week. They do specialize in work on Ferrari's and Porsche's.

I used Bascom Trim years ago to redo the headliner in my BMW and I thought they did an excellent job. I believe that they have a great reputation. Might be good to Yelp them and see what others say.

Another vote for bascom here. They did a couple of jobs on my cars and it turned out great!

Thanks for the suggestion, they are fairly close to me and experienced with race seats. I'll try them out for sometime soon for this minor stitch job. Hopefully should be less than $100
