    Good day Russell,

You are quite correct... these are the original manufacturer of the keys. They has been some repos on Ebay, but I cannot attest to their quality or how accurate of a repo they are.

    Cheers,

    Sam

    Good day Russell,

Hopefully the original poster will report back with more info and pics... but here is what it should look something like this.

    Cheers,

    Sam

Hmmm, mine doesn't look like that. Must be the difference between series 1 and 2?

    Sorry, I forgot:

This is the shop. It's about a 6 minutes' drive away.
    Pöllmann Sicherheitstechnik Wien

The shop was founded in 1962, and I am pretty sure the old man standing behind the counter is the founder.
I don't know if he is willing or able to handle inquiries via email, because I had a nice chat with him when he copied my keys and he's very old school.
Also I don't know if he can copy a key on a picture - like the Australian company does (keys4classics) - or if the number on the key will suffice.

but if you guys like, I could pay him a visit (as soon as I return from my holidays at the end of next week) and ask his point of view.

I could take pictures of the uncut keys and post them, so that anyone can choose the one he/she needs (because from where I was standing it looked like there were several different uncut versions of my key in stock).

I will keep you up to date.

    Good day Brian,

My apologies... I just assumed it was the same one/type as on my BB.

    Yep, that's it, for ignition.

How much is he selling them for???

The earlier door keys with the short shank are diamond shaped on the end.
No rubber or plastic until much later in time, maybe '81 or '84???

I say "It just depends" on how you view it, as Taylor and Ilco both make the correct "blank"...

But those ones labeled Neiman are hard to find, and can get expensive.
Somewhere of course there's a box of 1000 in a dusty corner!

ok, just got back from the locksmith where I talked to the junior boss (son of the shop owner, Thomas Pöllmann):

    1) the price for one uncut neiman key is 15 euros
    2) they don't sell uncut keys
    3) if you want a neiman copy of your ignition key send an e-mail including a photo of both sides of your key lying next to a ruler. (if you want a copy of an original neiman key the number would suffice, because the relevant data is stored in their computer, but anyway it's better to include two photos)
    4) payment should be possible either by bank transfer, credit card or paypal depending on where you live - just ask for method of payment.
    5) keys will be sent by registered mail, costs should be around 40 euros
    6) send e-mail to: [email protected] (ref: ferrari neiman key)

I hope I could be of help.

p.s.: there are only 24 uncut keys left

I talked to Mr. Pöllman yesterday because I was curious about how many people wanted a new key.
He told me he still has 14 keys left, because unfortunately he (and his technician) found out that it was not possible to make a 100 percent working copy from a photo of an already copied key (a copy of an original key with the original number is no problem). If someone walked into his office with a key in his hands he could copy it, but making a copy from a photo doesn't always work.

So if you cannot come to Vienna I can make you an offer.
Send me the key and I will have it copied and send it back to you.

I emailed him because I wanted two of them, but I never heard back. I'd be happy to send a key for him to copy. PM me and let's make this happen.

Would be much easier if he was prepared to send the keys, no one in their right mind is going to send their Ferrari to Austria to have cut.
