Newark, I just received a response from Vic on the carpet swatches question I had which was re-sent, so maybe he was on vacation or something but it seems they are still selling carpet.

Kim, was that expensive? Who did your leather work on that center console? Came out really nice.

Vic at Vis’s upholstery in Van Nuys aka Topsonline did the complete interior on this one. IIRC total bill came to $7100 us but included all the carpet kit with bindings and drivers footwell rubber mat, rear firewall bulkhead carpet and complete recovering of rear window shelf, center console, seats with horse insignia in headrest, doorpanels/carpet, armrests on doors, dash panel that covers fusebox.
If your asking about just the center console? Thought that was $260? Didn’t include the roof liner, left it alone as it was really nice
Got a wooden pallet and constructed a shipping box on top of it out of 5/8 plywood and lined it with Styrofoam board. Put all the pieces in there and sent it all to Vic. Had it all back in 2 months.

Thanks Kim, your interior came out nicely. I need new carpet and my center console reworked so I'll give Vic a call.

Anyone with a dependable contact source for Vic right now?

He got back to me with a carpet price but was since hacked and I got a bunch of spoof emails. I sent him an email and he confirmed he had been hacked. Wanted to order carpet but yesterday got another hack mail. Kinda hesitant to order right now.

Yep... I used GAHH, call Jack, they're highly recommended for 308 carpet kits... I'm extremely pleased.

Thanks for the info. Was it the whole set, including carpet for the door panels? Do they also do/know of any good sources for the rear window shelf and bottom side of the targa?

Received quotes last year (2020) for carpets and complete interior for my 85 Euro QV.
World Upholstery came in at $9400?
GAHH wanted something like $12,500 and prices didn’t include installation. Decided to pass on both companies as I had a complete interior replaced in my 82 GTS five years earlier with a total cost of $7100 that included installation. IMO, For what we’re getting, prices have gotten WAY out of hand for the 3x8.

Labor shortages/ paying people to stay home and not work, supply chain issues, inflation/printing money, should I keep going? Not a surprise.

This was 2020 before the government started printing money, inflation etc. Roughly a $5000 price increase over five years excluding installation? Lol whatever.
Please explain to me why a vehicle roughly the same size with leather interior, less insulation is $4500. Couldn’t have anything to do with the Horsie tax.

    Hi All
I used to work at Rolls-Royce and, for my sins, one of my taskettes was looking after paint and trim colours. By coincidence, Ferrari and Rolls-Royce/Bentley then shared a number of suppliers for the raw materials, so I do have a few yards of genuine Ferrari/Rolls-Royce carpet and the elusive snake bite vinyl to do the carpet edging, all stashed away to refurb my 308 when the opportunity arises. If anyone is really interested in re-carpeting/vinyling their cars with the genuine thing, shout out and I’ll have a sort through my piles of memorabilia and contact a few old cronies and see what can be done. It would be a roll of the genuine 80/20 wool polyester Wilton and vinyl so you would have to find your own trimmer.
    Cheers
