Hello Everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this area for a holiday. http://www.jmvacations.ca/hotel_display.asp?hotel_name=Solaqua 3 weeks in February including return airfaire from Toronto to Faro is $1429 (CAD) per person. This is an incredible price for what the tour company says is a 4 star location. Is Albufeira in general (and Solaqua in particular) a nice place to visit? Not looking for a party scene or golfing. Just looking for good food, good wine, pleasant, safe and interesting surroundings and friendly people. Thanks in advance for your feedback. Joe
Hi Joe. Looks like you came here afterall. Welcome. Hopefully some of our colleagues over here can help.
Hi Joe Albufeira it's the most turistic place in the Algarve. Lots of people, turists, bars and good restaurants. Most of the people speaks english, so no problem with the language. The hotel seems quite good and very well located. You can also rent a car and find the beautiful places in the Algarve and specially very very good restaurants. Grilled fish is the local specialty Enjoy it and have a great time
Joe, I agree with Mario. Not to change your focus or anything, but there are some really nice places all within reach from Albufeira. Albufeira is great but very touristy. There is Portimao, Sagres and of course Villamoura which is very close by.
