I wonder if Mercedes at some point crushes these or if they offer them to people in the corporation? I would like to have one.
I've never seen either--> crushed or offered for sale. Maybe Mercedes keeps them in storage for a possible museum??
As models change they get updated. Mercedes sees them as advertisements, and wants potential customers (watching fans) to be interested in the present line of vehicles..
Ditto. That said, Sochi just doesn't intrigue me. I love the fact that we have a Russian GP and it being on Olympic grounds sounds good. The reality however is a rather bleak track, no elevation changes and all contained between concrete walls. Sterile. Oh well, at least another race. And just maybe Bottas will challenge Lewis as he is normally good at this track.
I disagree. Baku has a pretty and historic city. And that insane narrow passage around the fortress then followed by one of the widest, longest and fastest pieces of track in all of F1. Sochi is really the wrong place. Russia does have some interesting tracks.
Thanks, but aren't you sarcastic by any chance? I am not complaining about the ban, BTW, I simply didn't realise I was on the wrong side of the law with my last post. I didn't think that my innocent comment would put me in the dock, but here you are ...
You should propose Macau for a F1 GP then. As well as wide straights where you could land a Boeing, they have several of these narrow passages that guaranty crashes every year ! Racing there is mental though ...
Not at all, I wasn't involved in your ban, and I've personally enjoyed your posts. I was heavily involved afterward.
