We see it all the time, "If I could get my hands on a 5-speed for under $30,000...blah, blah, blah" Well here you go http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140373578305&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
I sure would be tempted if I had the money on hand. All his feedback is for buying though, not selling. OTOH, the vin plate is shown in the photos, and the car does look clean. (Edit: Not "super" clean)
Unless there is something really wrong with it that seems like a lot of car for the money. Not real clean but looks like a good driver.
I agree with the prior comments. This one shouldn't be passed up, unless there exists some as yet unknown catastrophic issue. Daft Punk, anyone?
so why is it so cheap ? what is the point of trying to set a ridiculous new low if it's a good car ? are things that bad down there that people are just giving their stuff away ? the seller seems knowledgable enough to know what he has...so what gives ? something about it just doesn't add up...why not just let the auction run it's course ? why the super low Buy-it-Now ? why not just set your reserve at that price ?
I asked myself all of the very same questions. She's a nice example of a driving 412. It ought to bring much more than the "buy it now", I don't get it.
Ok, maybe, but wouldn't it make sense to say that in the ad so people won't wonder? That's what I'd do. (h$ll if business doesn't improve I may be there soon)
I came in late. What WAS the BIN price, because it's no longer there. Interesting car, nice color combo to me.
LOL! I'm in DC on business but have an older file with me on the flash drive attached to my laptop but I don't see anything for 65949. Tis unusual to say the least.....
It says in the listing that it will be included at the end of the auction. I think this thing might go for more than the original buy It Now price.
exactly...even a small 'laundry list' of items can add up really, really fast on a 412. which doesn't mean that it won't be a good buy...but have an extra $10K on hand...minimum and that's assuming that the motor and tranny are as they should be... i think i'd want that situation verified and the what's being done about it in writing... and the seller might be a straight shooter, but even he might not know 'what's up' there.
Heya Dave! I go on other forums to share wisdom, since you've got that locked up here! I'm sending the "O'quinn" (RIP) car to FoAtlanta this week, if that town ever thaws out. Needs an annual service, CIS set, and I'm sure other 'while you're in there' things done. If this 412 was $25k, why did the BIN go away at $20k? Nevermind, maybe I need to read ebay's rules again. I was recently the underbidder on a Z8 with a BIN, that remained intact til someone dinged it. I remain confused, but nowhere moreso than... A 5 speed V12 Ferrari for $25grand? What's the world coming to!?! Hope a deserving, loving buyer gets it. Dave?
Actually the BIN was $24K. - money must be tight because noone raised red flags yet noone moved on it. Regards, Art S.
just to elaborate further, the reason i agree is...if it's a "small leak", then why not fix it ? why taint the description of an otherwise good car with... "Two minor items will be corrected upon the close of the auction and receipt of the deposit. They are: a) Repair or replace one area or the driver's door seal, and b) Repair small leak in hydraulic suspension system"..." would a small leak take much more time to fix then it took to type that it had a "small leak" ? at the risk of sounding like an even bigger ***** then i already do...it doesn't make sense. it just doesn't work that way...so any potential buyer has to have his eyes wide open. people don't just give away V-12 Ferrari's for well below market value...even in this market. and not that the seller has anything to apologize for if it does have some issues... because at that price you'd certainly have to expect some issues...or be very, very naive. and ya, what happened to the Buy-it-Now ? maybe it never was up for grabs at $25K...now that would make sense.
