Is the coupe really half the price of a gts?
allow me to rephrase. How many dinos have sold for $400K, OR MORE, in the last six months? Oh, and some details as to the car itself would help in the discussion. If the north of $00K Dinos are all special cars, extremely low mileage, owned by Eric Clapton and in mint, original condition with books, tools, clock tag, top cover, summer seat covers, and the BOX that the tools were delivered in, they're not really good for comparison. If they're 60K mile examples that are driver cars, then you're talking market comps that have meaning.
So, you are saying that its a surprise that >$400k cars are very very nice and exceptional? Yes they are.
OFF subject question but You mention the BOX the tools come in . Can you explain that to me, someone asked that to me once and I had no idea what they meant .. ??Is this something worth trying to find or??
I think it's important to separate Chairs&Flares GTS's from standard GTS's as there's been a significant delta (upwards) for the C&F's. So there's really 3 basic categories; GT's, GTS's, Chairs&Flares.
A lot more than you would believe..... There is a car about to come to market with an asking price that might be a new record for an exceptional car.
I know of a Euro GT, books (no wallet but including the warranty book and clock tag), Tools, very decent paint (7 years old), new but incorrect seat covers, 68k, rebuilt engine 15k ago, complete history from day one. Really nice driver. Sold 4 weeks ago for $185k.
Nope. This was/is a cardboard box. No brand. The owners pouch came in a box too, but the makers name isn't Catelli.
I was teasing, Catelli is brand of pasta. Maybe only sold here in the great white north. However if there were no markings on the box I have a bunch of them for sale. Black Friday pricing, shop early for best selection.
Which one sold for $469K? According to Sportcar Market the one at Monterey was purchased by a billionare to whom money is basically meaningless, so one sale at that price means almost nothing.
A billionaire buying a car doesn't set the market, but keep in mind, someone was bidding against him. I know someone that bid up to $400k before stepping out. There have been multiple sales above $400k, but they were remarkable cars.
So how do I find the box shat markings are on it .ow would you authenticate it. I am into original documentation etc...
They have been talked about in previous threads. I am not good at searching, it others seem to locate this stuff quickly.
