I remember going to a slot car club with my dad when I was little. The place had a track that was about 6 or 7 lanes wide so people could race.

I'm pretty sure Dr. Emmett Brown was amongst the strong influences that made me want to learn the ways of science. Many have accused me of being just as obsessed with detail.

Thx for those who brought snacks; I didn't see the request until tonite.

What a blast! I will surely be back. Had a riot. Poor mike had to put up with us to nearly 10 pm. But think he made some new customers.

 

Thank you for putting this together guys! It was a lot of fun beating you in the races (well, not really!) I am glad that this group is still active during the winter.

Thanks everybody for coming out, it was a great time. We can do it again in March if you are all game. I think Mike enjoyed having us too.

 

Cool stuff! I own a pretty good sized collection of HO scale cars of varying vintages / manufacturers, including some 60's era Aurora Thunderjets, Aurora A/FX, Aurora G-Plus, Tyco, and some other lesser known brands. I also have a "cheapy" 1/32 scale set from the 60's...forget the manufacturer, but it's in great shape, although not worth much.

 

NO way!! That's insane!! I love how they used the onboard camera on one of the cars too. If you can find a way to get in, I'm game!

I need to get over there and tune my car I purchased at the last trip. It's fast but I need help to adjust that chassis; back end too loose!

 

Sorry I did not check the thread yesterday afternoon, I usually only do it at lunch and at night.

I thought we'd make it monthly. How does March 8th sound?

I am booked that nite (end-of-season banquet; 48 high school kids and I part ways for 8 months, thank goodness). If it turns out to be the following Thursday, I'm in!
