Heres the View from my Shack
That looks like a house from a show I saw on Discovery or Travel Channel about the top 8 or 10 most unique houses in the world. They showed the house the Sultan of Brunei built in Hollywood Hills. Some info I remember was 24,000 sq. ft., almost all fabrics, tiles, etc came from Brunei. Cost like 19.5 million or something like that. Its now owned by someone else I believe. One other tidbit is that the Sultan never stepped foot inside the house.
Well, the original, original house was the cube-like, three-story structure (with the three windows going across.) Then, at some point, I think at the turn of the century, it got the extra bit on the end. We, then, put on a garage and pushed out a bit to put a hallway in, of course matching it to the rest of the house. So, I suppose there have been three major additions over the years.
I think I saw this house for sale in the Robb Report? Beautiful, just what kind of boring wireless stuff do you do anyway man?!!? You must control the GoldenEye satellite?
sh-- I forgot about this post... no please compare this house to my profile, note my garage vs what the garage of this mansion would look like. It was a joke, note photographer's phone number and name. I was sent a profile of this house by a realtor. It's located in NJ. It was sold and I don't know how much it was.
here's a pic of my house on the inside in cali. Did you guys ever watch boiler room? That's how I live except I don't have the big screen, the lambo, the italian suits....
Congrats on the new house. Much better than the old shack Looks like your doing quite well, good for you, sir That house would be $2M in LA.
You're nuts!!! Moving is way too cool. We've been in the same place for 5 years, and I just can't wait to move out!!! That's our record. We usually stay 3-4 years in one place (read country! lmao). With the internet, you don't really lose real friends, and you get to leave tons of useless crap that would just clutter up the basement! Those are some great homes, people. I had to laugh out loud at the huuuuge joke crib!! It's ridiculous. Funny how I am impressed by huge cribs, but wouldn't want one for myself ... Don't get me wrong, that joke house is splendid, as all of those posted ... but I'm still too young to want anymore than a common kitchen/lounge/tv room, a bathroom and a bedroom. Plenty for me! Now if we're talking garage ... there is no limit to what I want (2 stories, lift semi-tractor doors ...) ... my dream house right now is a garage with a loft area to put the bed (kinda like Seinfeld's garage in NYC)!!! hahaha.
Yes, I didn't know what glass was, but after I asked they told me that no card board or duct tape was needed. I couldn't believe it, I'm also lonely as this house doesn't have any critters running around it like the old one. Geez it's nice to have a wife making money instead of going to school. I'll hang on to her.
A hot wife that makes money. Now thats a catch! LOTUSTT, Here is Rob's garage. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=134278045&postcount=222
I remember when my wife and I brought our first house. It was a very tight squeeze on the old pocket book. In fact, it didn't dawn on me until we started moving in that we didn't have a refrigerator. Fortunately, my In-Laws were nice enough to lend us $300 for one. Living out of a cooler would have been tough. When are we having the F-Chat house warming (i.e., hell raising) party?
the future guest house. 840 sf. is all you can get in Sonoma. Of course it's on top of a 2 car garage. Still working on the plans for the main house.
