I just picked up this collection and was wondering if anybody knew anything about it. When was it issued and where? I don't recall seeing it anywhere in the U.S. but I'm also a novice when it comes to this kinda stuff.

Should I display them in the boxes or take them out and save the boxes should I decide to sell them later on?

Sorry for the blurr on the second picture I just had a double espresso.:D

I have the 2 F1 models, they were made by Maisto, there were also 2 1:18s, I believe they were released in 2000 in Europe. Ebay is generally flooded with them.

They came to the USA in 1999 as part of the Shell tie in to the Indy races.

That looks like you have most of the 1:43rds....

There were several 1:18s also, the first appearance of the 312PB (it came with a 55 gallon fuel rig) and also the 250LWB California in an odd color (maroon metallic?)

I ran all over Indianapolis, gathering up a complete set, and had to check an extra piece of luggage, to get them all home!

Anyone else clarify the other offerings?

I like the blue 512Boxer.....I almost left it on River Oaks Girl's dresser moving out, but remembered it at the last minute!

Have a look at the video link in the thread " Colms Collection". It shows my Pocher F40 in the video commercial for the models that you have. I was also given the carbon effect stand with the 1:43 and 1:18 F50 models and a production tape of the add, plus a few pounds as well!!!

I paid $10.00 plus another 10 for shipping on ebay. Not out a bunch and since they dont seem to be overly collectable I'm giving ém to my grandson to play with. I figure each one is a good potty training reward....gotta get this kid outta pull ups. :D
