it might be promoting the club called Richbaby. Richbaby is another brand of night clubs owned by Richy/babyface.
I think Baby faces was one of the clubs we were at in Chong Qing last week and the car sounds quite subdued compared to the inside of that place. A friend of mine there is trying to contact the guy with the Veyron so he will take me for a drive when i am there for Autumn festival.
yeah why not, its only few million RMB's a pop, haha. here is another dealer that keeps some cars indoor. thats how they like to do it in china, screw the boutique style anything, if you wanna do something, do it big. I love it! That's exactly what I want from every store everywhere. Large warehouse and rows of merchandise like a supermarket. I don't need some fancy showroom to add to the price of my cars.
The special one? It's painted like cracked porcelain. Comes with some Chinese luggage set, the gauges and some buttons in mandarin characters. Not sure if the button is made of jade or not. Otherwise, it's just a normal 599. I think Mahwon said he spotted it somewhere here in Shanghai, no?
This is the special version that was auctioned off for over 1 million Euro. It's got the cracked porcelain look, start button made of jade, tach is ancient Chinese font, and other touches reflecting Chinese flavor. It showed up at the Shanghai supercar weekend 2 wks ago, driver was a young lady. The picture I took in Beijing, are the "mass" produced China edition model, it has similar touches as the special auctioned one, except with normal paint. at first glance, i thot the pic was taken with the car behind a mesh fence ... guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder ...
Looks interesting, kinda cool even. I personally will be happy with it for few months, then it will get old quickly I think.
She would have waited for the 599 GTO auction haha. Fancy paint 599 at the end of the product life cycle for a cool 1MM? Some money in China is just getting silly.
That's the thing, there is too much money and ppl don't know what to do. on the other hand, car makers are seizing opportunities, and cashing in with all sorts of "special" models. here is the China edition LP670. as if one is not enough, here is the Versace edition Murcielago for china. 1.88 million USD. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Versace special edition is not an exclusive for china. I saw it in the Lambo showrm in Singapore. It did not have those wheels on it.
Why is it so expensive in China? There was one in Singapore and I'm pretty certain it didn't cost that much.
If one can appreciate both old and new cars, I would rather plonk the cash on a rare oldie destined never to be re-produced. Timeless beauty and much more likely to hold value over time. These car makers are just using fashion themes to milk cash out of buyers. The Versace Murcie is one example, nice today but outdated by some other limited Murcie model a year or 2 later. I wonder what trick model Ferrari will come up with for the 612 as it is coming to the end of production.
I think the porcelain 599 is the ugliest thing ever though. How on earth did Ferrari think it would appeal to chinese customers?
Maybe the Chinese owners are just looking for something that has the "show" factor rather than quiet elegance of a certain pearl yellow 599 . Not talking about anyone we know of course!
