The main SF90 XX thread got a little too philosophical, I figured a thread specifically for discussing configurations that everyone is contemplating might be a helpful tool.

Out of the three launch configurations the one that spoke to me the most was the bianco artico configuration. In playing with the configurator I keep gravitating towards that one, but I need to see bianco artico in more lighting conditions. It also feels wrong to go for such a plain spec on such a unique car but maybe my opinion will change over time.

I'm also curious if anyone is leaning towards a regular spec vs. atelier vs. tailor made on this one. Other than the seats I don't know how much flexibility there is on the interior for tailor made materials, so short of some interesting livery I'm not sure the value of TM vs. atelier on the SF90 XX. Any opinions from the crowd?

This IG post is pretty interesting (https://www.instagram.com/p/CuH_PEmJTMp/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==). The dealer configurator seems to allow for painted shields, and it looks like they shift to the doors given the louvers on the fender.

Never liked the full colour on the standard car, always preferred a black roof. But the full colour on the VS looks great, especially with black wheels and wing.

I’m with you, I don’t think I’d go painted roof but the painted shields in the pic above are tempting.

Don’t like the yellow line on the wheels though. They make the wheels look too small.

I think it’s subtle enough… ties in the accents in the seats and hood scoop… and makes the scudaria shields really pop

For me, yellow has always been “too much” as an exterior color, but as an accent it’s a great sport look

As mentioned already though, I think the big rear spoiler looks silly on any convertible.

The Bianco Artico is not that plain in person. Think of it as a kind of Grigio Scuro/Medio / a little bit like Porsche Chalk color/ but with a metallic layer. It comes across as an updated version of these colors and very chic in person. Especially with the arancia accents.

For a little mental gymnastics, at first I thought maybe the orange isn’t entirely the most “Ferrari” of colors, but there is Rosso Dino in the range, and more so, and I admit this is just me justifying it, the orange is kind of a mix of rosso and giallo [emoji4]

I was struck with the cars’ looks in person- the spider and coupe are both gorgeous and brutal at the same time. In this regard they are similar to the F40. To my eyes the spider is less cohesive with the roof down and just slightly less interesting with the roof up vs the coupe, but the Spider gives you the option of open air driving.

I think just about any color you want will look great.

Your spec is really nice- you have visually deemphasized the rear wing by going with the painted roof and black wing. Nothing wrong with that. Everyone will see it differently, but I can tell you my sense was in person the wing is not as much of a visual presence, or to put it another way, its not as “obnoxious”, as it might look in pictures.

My only minor criticism is having the dark wheels and calipers in giallo calls extra attention to them- just be sure thats where you want to put the focus.

Atelier vs Tailor Made- its really a question of which will get you the best interpretation of your vision. Tailor Made is really if you want to do a semi or more custom livery/ some kind of new paint/ and novel interior materials. Atelier is if you want to be a bit creative with the standard options. Both will slow the build but Tailor Made will slow it more. I don’t think it makes much difference for the eventual day when many decide to find a new home for their baby.

Go with what you love and you wont go wrong.

I too was surprised by the bianco artico in person, my concern is the room that car was in had very specific light. I'm curious about how it looks in more natural lighting. The Rosso Corsa car was in a more naturally lit room but that color doesn't seem to do the XX justice.

The config above isn't my spec, I pulled it from the IG account I linked above but I was including it as an example of painted shields, the first time I'd seen that on the XX.

    I appreciate your reply!

    Great that the painted shields are shifted rearwards as gives a v stocky look ( in a good way ). I’ve always been a fan of painted shields and doing TM….however Atelier on this would be totally great too - I prefer the look of the contrasting black roof - esp if you have the spider …. Several coloured options spring to mind that I’d love to see on track and road , all with Painted Shields and black painted roof. For the coupe I believe Lexan windows although naturally not possible for the spider ( I guess). Colour combos imho ;
-Rosso magma / Jean aude interior
-Triple yellow or similar/blue electricco interior
    - Blue corsa/ Nero
-Rosso portofino/dual coloured seats, driver seat Red
All with contrasting dream lines , tricolor accents, etc etc
Tbh, any specc that gives the lucky owners a perineal twinge is worth the £900k it will cost FULLY specced up ….
On the XX I don’t think I would have the Gigantic balls required for a Darth Vader specc of matt black , all black inc wheels, interior and NO shields (that would be a first for me after 26 years and 25 Ferraris but I’m saving that for another model as I’d like that as a contrast in my stable ).
I’m hoping to see some of the v novel faded 2 colour speccs and although not normally a fan of white cars I like the idea of a strike of white lightening , vents and heat haze whizzing past me while I drive like Miss Daisy .

Agreed on the black roof and those are some good color combos.

Top of mind for me at this point:

    - Bianco Artico / Flash Orange livery / Nero interior
    - Rosso TRS / CF livery / Nero interior
    - Verde Francesca / CF livery / ?? interior
    - Blu Corsa / Giallo livery / ?? interior

All with black roof and painted shields. I do wish the online configurator was better, need to make a trip down to the dealer at some point to play with theirs.

Does anyone know if contrasting coloured scoops/vents be painted in any other colour or only what the configurator is currently showing ?
