https://www.drive.com.au/news/2024-ferrari-sf90-versione-speciale-spy-photos/ The pics and rumored name.
799 coupes and 499 spiders seems too many for v limited production , if a criteria inc having an sf 90 …. Any details on how many SF90 and Spiders have been made/in the pipeline ?? Those numbers don’t tally in my mind with the rumours … could well be ( as per another thread post ) , that this will develop into a Pista type scenario through the Top and VIP clients … Ferrari are so on top of their game , the VS will definitely be a mindblower
I dont think that with a price point to 1 million, this will be a Pista typ scenario. To expensive for that case…
you’re more likely to get the scoop because you’re a VIP, but word here was the dealer’s allocations were directed to be offered to SF90 Spider buyers. Who took it. You do bring up a good point though because I didn’t think there were that many SF90 Spiders out there.
I have an sf90 spider and have bought a dozen Ferrari's and have 3 on order and I haven't been offered one yet....
If they really have 1,300 slots I would think you’re an eligible client then. Did you ask and if so, what did your salesperson tell you?
You're likely on the list of eligible customers but there are many more customers on the lists than cars (at least at this point). I assume you're an FWash customer. Call Franklyn and ask him if you're on the list.
I know a couple of the people offered spiders and another couple coupes and there’s a mix of SF90 coupe/spider owners … still , it will be a fab reveal ( I’m sure ) I’m a few weeks ….
I like many are in the same situation. I’ve bought many Ferrari’s both mid engine and front/mid, to include both a SF90 Stradale and SF90 Spider (awaiting), in addition to multiple on order (296 GTB, 296 GTS, Puro) and I’m on the fence if I’ll be offered one. It sounds like all the top tier clients will gobble up the majority of the SF90 Le Mans Spiders. The dealer allocations that fall to the eligible clients will likely be predominantly the coupes.
I have asked, no definitive answer yet. I assume we'll know soon who's on the list. Big dealership and lot's of VIP's.
I asked for the coupe. Spider didn’t make sense to me for what the car purports to be. If it is a lighter version of the SF90, why weight it down with a foldable top? I guess I just like to use the cars on the track versus some sort of display thing. Have a few of those and they don’t really do it for me: Chiron, Barchetta, SA Aperta, Super America. I have the 812 Comp A spider coming, it’s time to make this SF90 special edition a coupe! If it really an 800 versus 500 thing, I get wanting the less produced car. But since you can only have one, the lighter, more trackable car seemed like the only choice for me.
Personally I'd want the spider because I currently have a sf90 spider and would replace it with LM. Don't think I'd want to have two sf90's.
Great. When I complain to FNA why am I getting a coupe I can tell them where there is an extra spider. Haha
Can we please del this thread, we already have 1200 + posts and 150k + views in the Sf90 VS thread. While it looking like being called LM lets not jump the gun and keep it all together in the meantime. Nothing worst than double posting the same stuff. All the best Simon
Ok I changed my mind, lol. Based on reported production volumes, the offer to Top clients only, and the reality that I own very many track only supercars, I am requesting the spider form of the new SF90. I love that all these mental gyrations need to be decided before one ever sees the car. Honestly. The greatness of this brand in being able to do this humbles me. For all the non-owners who come here and complain, I encourage you to try to walk in their moccasins. It is done extremely well from the Ferrari side but also, honestly, from the client side. I think I have previously shared that with Porsche, despite having 7 3RS, 3 2RS, a CGT and 3 918, I could not get a new 3RS allocation. I was told I could not even spec one. But I could feel free to buy one at a price they determined once it arrives. To reward their customer loyalty I sold all but two 2011 3RS. Porsche not only places their engines in the wrong place, they don’t reward or even respect their top clients. I don’t even think they know who their top clients are.
Damn, I was hoping on that spider allocation making its way to me. I gave up on Porsche a while ago as well because it was too hard to get an allocation on anything I wanted. Nice collection
Agree 100%…I was not offered 3RS, Dakar, Speedster, won’t be offered the ST…Not even a phone call…Last car I got was a 4RS. Porsche are definitely not trying to win clients from Ferrari or other top brands. They target clients who are sequential Porsche buyers, owning Taycan, Macan, Cayenne, Boxsters, changing them every year and occasionally getting the limited cars. Not the wrong strategy given their portfolio of cars, but not something I find easy to follow. They also don’t care about ownership of important old Porsches (I used to own 2 out of the 21 993GT2 Evo cars, 959 etc. and they couldn’t care less about them) I also agree on Spider SF90VS!
