Sound I think is better than Pista. Pista increase it’s volume with increase of RPM but no changes in itself, just getting louder than lower RPM. SF90 increase in volume as well as pitch with RPM. Interesting sound I would say. I may be wrong but this is my impression. I wish it revs to 9500

I’ve heard that stock sound is better than the Pista. The Pista stayed rather monotone to me. I added an inconel x pipe and it drastically improved it. I EAS thinking an x pipe would work well on the sf90 as well. One guy mentioned that ferrari may be working on an exhaust from the XX for the standard or AF sf90. Will wait and see. That would be ideal….

 

I am interested in this thread and finding out what can be done to improve the sound

 

thoughts on how the OEM exhaust sounds between the 488 - 488 Pista - f8 - and SF90

Are valve controllers not an option? They have the new electronic ones from capristo, etc.

 

The capristo is an electronic one, so not sure if that’s what others have tried before. Are people getting cels with them?

 

I am seeing so many SF90 with NOVITEC exhaust and the plugin mod to remove the check engine light. SOOOOOO, what happens to the warranty and if you install an exhaust does it flag your car with FNA ??? it would be nice if FNA allowed their dealers to install an approved aftermarket exhaust OR team up with a company to allow for a louder more aggressive sound to any of the Ferrari product..... just saying

 

I can tell you that there is no exhaust mod you can do on the F8 according to F Tampa to keep the warranty. I can’t imagine they would allow it on the SF 90. The exhaust sound on the F8 is horrible at best imho.

 

The SF90 doesn't sound too bad. Maybe better than I thought it would. I just don't enjoy the valve action, closing at 2000rpm and then on throttle lift.

 

Gotcha , My F8 s just sounds like crap. I did install the Forza valve opener and it’s marginally better at best and has thrown a couple of CEL lights that went away after leaving the valves closed for a while.

 

My dealer is looking into my questions...will let you know.

 

I don’t think so. That’s why I had F Tampa install as well as purchase it and did not do it on my own.

 

I can't wait to hear. Leaving the valves open should make a significant impact on exhaust presence.

 

A Forza valve opener with remote control. It was not a great improvement on the exhaust sound. I was hoping for a significant change but was disappointed . The GPF just sucks all the way around. Please keep us posted on your control install.
