    i received my sf90 in dec 2021, and just yesterday received my "built to order" mini model. this was kind of interesting, because i just got an email on saturday about a new video for the sf90xx - and i noticed in this video that there appeared to be a mini model of the sf90xx placed under the aeroflow "gift" from the xx anteprima https://www.ferrari.com/en-EN/auto/ferrari-sf90-xx-stradale-sculpture

    We have conceived a very special metal sculpture of your Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale. Its form is a homage to the shape of the wind – and, when assembled within its Plexiglass silhouette, it will represent the actual aerodynamic flows around this extraordinary Special Series from the Prancing Horse.​

    Anyway, my first impression of the sf90 model was 'the box looks smaller than some of the others, but the car inside is the same - though wrapped up quite differently with a sealed box. i haven't opened it, but you can see it would likely fit under the aeroflow.

    Just got my 812GTS model today. Rosso Magma wasn't metallic, but they got all the details.

    I think the model box is smaller now because the model + base are intended to be put in the CF box with your extra key. I think the pure metal model no longer comes with the car.

    I've been waiting for the second piece of the SF90 XX gift, I didn't get any emails over the weekend weirdly enough even though I was at the anteprima. I wonder if your car is closer to production or something. Any indication of whether or not your car is expected to go into production this year? I was told mine would be next year.

    within the ferrari app, i still show 'no vin assigned' and it even shows me as 'waitling list' for the xx. i haven't been told it has gone to production or anything like that; i was under the general impression it would be towards the end of this year.

    Interesting, I wonder if you hit stage 00 or 10G or some other pre-10R milestone that triggered the email being sent. You should ask your dealer. Towards the end of the year sounds like you're definitely further along than me, I was told specifically mine wouldn't go into production this year.

    What spec did you end up doing for your XX?

    wow, thanks for the tip - i asked and indeed, it moved into "10G" in january. searching around I found a post with the codes, saying it tends to say in 10g for awhile, so maybe it went to 20 or whatever something else but hasn't updated it yet, idk.

    That makes sense! 10G is order accepted - you aren't at 20 yet, once you hit 10R you'll get a VIN in the app.

    VHK on an XX should be great. Share renders if you have them!

    For reference, here is my build timing for my 812, SF90 and 296 GTS at the various stages. Note the SF90 was air freighted so its shipping time was substantially shorter, but it was also a tailor made car and they had a bunch of issues making the seats which made the 10G to 10R process take exceptionally long.

    So does this automatically come with every new ferrari, or do you have to order it?

    for myself i have never explicitly ordered them, they have always been given to me sometime afterwards since my speciale (2015). From my experience, this process began somewhere between 2007 (didnt get one for my f430) and 2015. afaik, this only applies to new delivery cars. i have no models of any of the three challenge cars i bought including after 2015.
