Growing up, I didn't see or talk to my dad for several years. A life changing event brought him back to the picture (with help from his caring new wife) and we are closer than we've ever been. I discovered we have several of the same interests (cars, racing, model building) and he's been able to help me out with these things. The best part was when he apologized for not being there to help me earlier in life. I hope things turn out for the best.
That's an amazing video. It is very important to keep ties with family. I don't think you guys expect someone my age to comment on that, but not having seen my dad more than a few times a year since my second year of high school I do feel envious of some ... one day I'll share a cigar with the man. Jim, your dad seems like a great guy!

Sorry to hear about your father Jim. A life like his should be celebrated. Sounds like he didn't miss out on a thing. We should all be so lucky.
Have read a lot about him since his passing, sounds like he was a great man. RIP Mr Glickenhaus and thoughts and condolences with your family Jim.
RIP. I remember Jim posted a clip of him on an investment show and I thought it was really cool to watch.
You have my heartfelt condolences, Napolis, as does your family. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4NMf2PO_mQ[/ame]
So sorry to hear the news. My condolences to the whole Glickenhaus family. What a long and great life I think we all wish to have and be able to look back on and feel proud of.
102.. what a life well lived. Was nice to have him around to witness all your success and accomplishments. RIP.
Indeed 102 years is a long life. Seth was a fine man...when his family`s adopted country called ...He fearlessly went off to battle, rather than hiding in a lower tier liberal arts college like so many lesser persons would do in future years, He returned to find his place amongst the lower end brokerage firms and carved out a niche. Now with his passing...The mantle hath been passed to the only logical person to carry on the Glickenhaus tradition....A man who`s management skills and wisdom shall lead the way into the next century and beyond...BRAVO, BRAVO...A man held in such high regard by his father that the company could be handed off to no other ! let us all raise our Waterford snifters filled with Louie 14th and toast to many more decades of Glickenhaus & Co.
