I have been searching around for information on seat retrim kit availability for a 330 GTC. I have found the info on Re-Originals but I am wondering if that is the only place to obtain new seat foam cushions and quality leather covers for the seats. Is Re-Originals the only supplier and are they still the accepted source that others here have used with good results or are there others places that folks can recommend as well.

I think the best way to obtain results worthy of a high-quality restoration of such a car is to engage a skilled leather trimmer and provide him with the correct Connolly Vaumol-type leather. In my experience, hand-made custom upholstery will fit and look better than some off-the-rack mass-produced kit.

I just went through this exercise on my GTC.
I did get a set of seat covers from Re-Originals. They look very nice and match the originals very well. I understand they source them from the same family that did the leather work for Pinninfarina in the day. Although Connolly leather is no longer available, they use a close match and still use the original patterns. That being said, I did not install the Re-Original seat covers because I first tried having a professional leather restoration done on my original seat covers. I was amazed at how well they came out, cracks and all! I would strongly encourage you to go that route first.

You can see the details on the seaty restoration in this link.

Matt at Re-Originals is super nice but these cars don't lend themselves to off the shelf solutions unfortunately. Anything other then having someone who has done this era Ferrari interior before and knows the tricks and uses the correct leather will just look like crap. If you have just gotten this car you might think it is ok to go this way but after a few years and after seeing more cars, you will be unhappy with your interior. We all would like a less expensive way to own these cars, but there aren't many that are true to what these cars are.

    Yale,

I would be inclined to have the seats custom redone. I would recommend Jerry Ambrosi, Master Upolstery, Newton, NJ. Jerry does Pebble Beach quality work for a number of major collectors. I have worked with him and recommend his services.

One source for leather is HVL - Exclusive Italian Interiors this group has a fine reputation for reproducing older Ferrari leather. If you are willing to ship the seats they can do the work, but I don't have any idea the cost. I believe that Connolly is back in business providing vintage leather.

Much closer to home, Tom has a group he works with that appears do very good work, and he knows your car.

I can also recommend Mike Curley. He did the interior on Lee Harringtons Ferrari that just won its class and won most elegant sports car at Pebble this year. Great guy to work with. No stories or unkept promises.

I sourced hides from HVL, then had seats done by Gary Maucher in PA. Came out great. I noticed HVL got a call out in the auction listing for the nicest of the three Lussos that sold in Monterey.

Is there any more info about Connolly's resurrection or a website? I searched and see a Hemmings article that they are back, but there is very little info about the business or contact info. I see a Connolly London website, but they seem to have only leather accessories.

jonathan connolly is indeed back in business as connolly brothers.
been in correspondence with him for quite some time. he is now in possession of my 2 full hides of original 3218(tan) from the 60's.
i could not use just two hides, so he has them as part of the connolly archives. should help him in simulating current hide color/texture.
he was at pebble with samples.

Because of environmental concerns only a few batches of the original Connolly leather are made. Luppi in Modena obtains them as they do interiors for Ferrari Classiche. The owner's father was responsable for the original interiors of the 330s and 365s while working at the Ferrari factory back in those years. By the way I was there once when an Aston Martin owner called and they politely refused stating that they only specialize and do Ferraris.
I agree with the previous posts with HVL's reputation. Tappezzeria Luppi's contact is: [email protected]

HVL can be a challenge, I will leave it at that
Not all the product sent was useable
Vendor argued, no refund policy available

    I started buying from Connolly
