Hi has anyone changed the color ( swapped out) their seat belts? I have a 99 360 Modena (yellow over black) and want to change the black belts to yellow.
    Thanks,
    Robert

Search it on here and some have done it .

Just do it.....why ask others for their opinions ? You won't enjoy the outcome....trust me !

Hey Jay thanks I’m kinda geeky with chatting and finding this. I’m 54 so I missed the internet curve. Can u send me a link to it?
And you’re right I’m not interested in anyone’s opinion I should have worded it differently as in I’m going to do it to match the calipers. I had red calipers in my 911 with red belts and I loved it.
I’m sure the 360 will look eww great.
    Thanks,
    Robert

It's simple, but I would strongly advise against getting belts from a wrecked car. They are typically only designed to handle 1 accident reliably

Thanks for the info. I have seen yellow belts on eBay ( but from China) so I’m Leary.

Should be easy to replace is DIY. Not sure if there is a parts equivalence with Fiat for less $$$.

Undo the plastic cover on the seatbelt on side pillar. Unbolt the 19mm nut, Pull out the side pillars, unbolt the seatbelt from the seat.
Undo the seatbelt mechanism on the side of the car. Repeat IIRC.

    Another option:
Seat belt material is available in many colors in bulk. Any good auto upholster could swap out the color you want on your original hardware.
I've done this a couple of times on restorations
    Good luck

Thanks that’s what I was thinking as there is some on eBay for 3.8 Meters ( approximately 12’5”) for $12. So I shall ask the upholstery shop as well as covering the yellow piping on the seats ( non permanent).
    Thanks
