Nevertheless I am very please with the results! I do not want to say it was easy, but it is fairly doable for a DIYer. It's time to prepare and working against the curing time frames. It's best to do this with two persons when it is such a big surface! I prepared everything in advance, link loosen all the lids and pre-colored all the resin already, but still you are working on the edge of drying.

Great work. Glad to see that you will soon be in your own place with the car just around the corner. Wish mine was high enough to allow a lift. But at least I have a bar!

    Thx Paul!

I'm happy too because now we can move stuff out of the house to go further with rebuilding :D I'm sure we all drink a very nice wine at your bar some day!

I have never seen a garage door like that or did your installer have a drinking problem.

Great garage build and the floor looks awesome. I did not like the thought of doing epoxy so went for something a little easier. Funny thing is my Lamborghini goes on the Italian flag and Scuderia on the German. My 8 year old got upset with me as he said the Ferrari is Italian so I will have to buy more tiles for another Italian flag. Which did make sense but then I reasoned with him the car was designed by a German and that seemed to appease him. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Here in the USA garage doors roll up and down not side to side

It's not very common to have a side way garage door, but you see them more often over here.

There are 2 reasons I have chosen for this type of door.
If I would choose one that goes up and down I have no room for a lift. All (consumer) garage doors have a certain height and the guidance rails for the sliders are in the way for a car lift.

Another reason is that I do not want to open te garage door entirely when I want to go in. Now I can slide it open for just 50cm (2 feet) and go in. There are garage door with a walk in door, but these are in my opinion not very burglary proof and they are way more expensive then the sideway door.

Disadvantage is that you need to keep a certain amount of meters free on one side. but hey my passenger never gets out in the garage so the passenger door never opens on that side anyway.

Sweet floor! I have looked at it as well, but I need(ed) something that is oil proof and then you merely have one choice. I was a bit hesitant of doing it myself, but in the end it is more easy then it looks. The prep is a lot of work I need to say.
