You never know, but the same seller had one in Brown for GBP. 6.000 a few weeks ago (or about 8.400 dollars), which, to me, is above the normal price at which they should trade. I would say from 3.500 to 4.500 euros maximum, if exceptional and complete. Black ones could command more, as they are more rare.
A friend bought a nice brown one here in France five years ago for...500 euros. Yes.

Correct: It's complete, but not perfect at all

This one pictured was complete and perfect (I was told now it's in the opposite side of the world... )

that was nov. 2015, a real sale from a known seller

    the going rate at that time was between 9000.- / 11.000.- USD (7000.- / 9000.- €) for a nice & complete set

these days , prices surely have come down ... but not really that much

complete sets are rarely offered and can still fetch something like 7000.-/ 8000.- USD (6000.- / 7000.- €)

If that one costs 10000 Euro (on the Ebay auction I can see just one picture of the two small bags, so it's even difficult to tell how much it could deserve to cost), I wonder how it should cost the 308 set that I have at home, that is one of one: It's the first ever that crossed the Ferrari gates, as the famous "gift" 308 set was just a private unofficial set, not produced to be shipped to Ferrari.

Of course as a collector I cannot sell it, but I hope one day will be sold at an auction (not on Ebay, a real important acution) by my nephew.

Until that day, it will be at my home and (I hope) displayd at some show by Schedoni itself aside the gifted one

Why so much difference in price between 3x8 and Testarossa set ?

I'm always disappointed when Elder consider this discussione as a thread to sell his luggage: there is a sale section for that. In any case this set is quite cheap even if it's missing one keyholder (they are five), the dust covers haven't the prancing horse and two dust covers are not for that bag as too tight (see orange circles)

This said, everyone asks what he wants.

And then you have to consider that the 308 set is much more rare than the Testarossa one.

And one of the cheapest set is the 456 GT one, as it's the more common in % of car production

There is no need for prancing horses on these sets, as this is an early set. And yes, it is cheap. Just like its owner :). Ciao.

in any case our Schedoni dealer here (Elder) sometimes does something good... :D

Look what set he sold me: the Nino Todaro set, a former Italian Targa Florio race legendary gentleman driver. The set belonged to his own private 400i

This is not a Schedoni piece: 24h briefcase by Italstyle (Fiamma Freschi), mid seventies (I would say 1975-1977): not for sale, just got yesterday and paid 600 k euro, good original conditions (only a bit of Leatherique just put on it as it was "thirsty"...), never restored.

Any idea if I paid it too much?

    Thank you very much

    ciao

Difficult to say, Alberto. As you know, these briefcases are appearing only from time to time, in small numbers, so it is difficult to speak of a "market", actually. The prices may very well vary between 200 and 1000 euros, there is actually no "average market price". Had you miss that one, you might have waited two years befor seing another.

thank you both, Bruno and Ryan. It has some wear signs outside (inside it's excellent), but considering that it's 40+ years old and unrestored, I would say it's very good.

Fiamma Breschi, sorry: I did a mistake writing it in my previous post

ok, this is my post n.5000: nothing special, but I want to post something that could be interesting.

It's in Italian, sorry, but it's the very first official Schedoni Classic Certificate ever done and it's about a very important Schedoni set: the first ever that crossed the Ferrari gates, on January 10, 1977, the very first one ever given to Ferrari factory.

It was a Monday and Mauro Schedoni himself delivered this set to the Factory and gave it to Mr. Amerigo Manicardi, the Ferrari Commercial Boss of the time.

With these four 308 suitcases shown, the early 308 set, begins the Ferrari by Schedoni luggage sets history.

They now are the star of my small collection: I'm very proud to own them.

The certificate is partially blanked where there is my surname and the Mauro Schedoni sign (half covered). The Certificate has five pages, but here I posted just three pages and half, and the cover too.

In the last picture there is Mauro Schedoni pictured (last month) in his Shop in Modena, aside this very important set.

It will be displayed at some exibition/museum/fair sooner or later.

If someone likes it, I can write here all the story of this set and how and where I found it.

    ciao
