i was offered a 328 Schedoni original luggage set (four bags) for 2500 euro (3450 USD more or less). The full set is in wonderful conditions and complete but does not have the textile outside bags: what could be the price? i sincerely have no idea: it's a fair price? thanks

    ciao

About five years ago I was offered a complete 308 set by a friend for the friendly price of 1.750 euro. It was in as new condition and complete with the outside bags. I passed on it because I would never use them and they would just collect dust.

Just to give you a reference point. Since prices of the cars seem to have gone up, so might accessories have.

Thank you very much, Bigodino (are you an hairdresser?). Then i think now the price range could be from 2 to 3 K euro.

Haha! :) No, I'm not. But I know what my screen name means in Italian (a hair curler). In fact it's my last name loosely translated into Italian.

Any color except the tan is VERY rare, for the 308/328 set.

    I have a set, tan.

I paid $2,400USD years ago, complete with outer canvas bags.
And the keys to the little locks, all that jazz.

If I were the OP I would go for it, maybe haggle a little bit because of the bags.
I can get my ex gf to make you some bags, using mine for patterns!

    She's talented that way.....

Mine do indeed "gather dust" in the closet, even with three cars!!!

Surely you can find a set closer in Europe???

Or pester Schedoni to support the vintage car market!!

They did only make them 'in period', so I would say the newest possible manufacture ended with 328 production.

I say "yes" Alberto because of the difficulty in locating them!
    Time has value..

But mention the outer bags, and see if they negotiate?
    Keys and locks???

Even the shoe bag should have slippers for the shoes.....

    You are very welcome!

The other thing to examine is the interior lining material.
For whatever reason, it "flakes off" if it is old, and gets the white chips everywhere!

The reason the locks and keys are important (of course you could source some normal replacements) is for air travel.

If a carrier decides to call it "soft sided luggage" they require it to be locked for Check In.
That's really the only use for the canvas bags too, to protect the leather during air travel, IMO

    Forza!

Thanks, Emilio: they are mint like new, maybe never used, there are all the locks and keys but they lacks outer canvas bags and inner shoe canvas bags. Do you think they still worth 2500 euro?

I searched another set worldwide but there isn't another for sale, so i'm condisering to buy that set at 2500 k euro. They are brown like the ones i posted in the picture above.

    ciao

    I would take it ...

usually there is not more than one set per year or two coming up to market -
and if at all, the condition is not as nice as the one you describe above

last one on ebay, was 9 month ago, used, went for 2300.-/2400.- ... before that, two years !

True...but how about those ones, then?
Not a full set, so impossible to vouch that they come from a "3x8" set, although the curved-side vanity case should indeed belong to a 3x8 set: to my knowledge, the 3x8 set is the only Schedoni set for a Ferrari that has a case with a curved side.

Yep; that pic is the "official" picture from the Ferrari luggage "catalogue": actually, a fold-over three page flier.

Note that the set shown here has the "pantograph" handle variety on the two "vanity cases"; other versions of the set have handles that have a simplier folding system, they fold lying on their side; in that case, the way the handle is located on the "vanity case" proper is also different. This is the main variation of the set along the years (outside colors).

Should you have the later luggage catalogue, from about 1987, displaying sets for the 328, Testarossa, 412 and Mondial, it shows the other "handle" version.
It doesn't mean that one replaced the others: both were to be found until the end of the set's production.
