I'm already here (Savannah) and will be serving as a Coach at the track days. Happy to help anyone I can when not with an assigned coachee. Look forward to seeing all who are coming! Cheers & C U @ d'Track!! C Chuck Hawks, Pro-Driver Coach, Instructor & Facilitator rEvolution Performance
Through entirely my own ineptitude, I'll be at the DoubleTree on Wednesday, then moving over to the Westin on Thurs-Sat.
You're doing better than me... I'm in a HIX Midtown - a hotel where I usually stay (I have a client here that has me in town about every 2-3 weeks); but hey, I'm getting points! Anyone know the answer? Question: The packages for the event are confusing. I had planned to buy a challenge car prior to the event, but a deal fell through. So, with no car to track...what package am I supposed to buy if I want to spectate? In other words, if you are an FCA member but plan to not bring a car, but just want to spectate...which package are you required to buy? I am interested in spectating at the track and walking around the show...but, don't need to attend the receptions/awards show etc. Seems I read somewhere that the track is open to the public on Friday. Thank you.
Friday's race and Saturday's concours will be open to the general public for $20.00 each if I remember correctly. Registration will open in the morning. Just come on and join the fun. Prices will definately be less if not free for FCA members as spectators. As a matter of fact if you want to volunteer at the track I can get you in for free, including meals!
I would be interested in volunteering at the track for either Friday or Sat. I get in on Thur afternoon and leave Sun. I probably would be "challenged" to do more than one day as a volunteer because I want to spend time with the better half. If I do one day - she can spa/shop etc.
Great! Email [email protected] with "Volunteer" in the subject Line. Things don't officially kickoff until tomorrow, but the fun has already started. More cars arriving all day. Looking in the garage at the Westin; 330s, 250pf, 360's, 430's, 550, 575, 16M, F40...you get the idea!
VERY HOT on the drive down, but once we got here there is a nice breeze and really it doesn't feel too bad. Seriously, it was quite comfortable. Cocktails tonight at the Westin.
Perfect weather down here! If you haven't registered, come on down to Savannah and sign up on the spot. This is shaping up perfectly!
Here is a savannah must drink. A Chatham Artillery Punch. I am slurping one down now. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looking forward to someone starting a picture thread. Gotta have lots of pics for the ones who couldn't make it there.
I got off work @ 12:30 and rode through downtown. Who put the Ferrari badges on Ruth's Chris Steakhouse? It looks cool!
I did. Glad you lie it! Hope to see everyone there tonight at Ruth Chris!! I'll take some pics of course.
I am travelling down from Lexington, KY Left my 308 at home. Be there tomorrow. Hopefully, the event is well attended. Looking forward to it. Next time I'll bring thre F-car. Chris
What a great night!! The highlight for me was finally meeting Daniel of Ricambi and everyone else from F-Chat! We ended up eating there in the end since I was blocked in anyway by 2 other beautiful cars. Nice to see it was well attended with just over 100 showing up throughout the night. Here are some pics. A million thanks to Amanda at Ruth's Chris for putting this event together for us. Guys, make sure you give her the royal treatment at the track Friday. She has a wristband. Don't forget about the "Ferraris On Broughton" Saturday night after all the concours activities. It will be a car show gathering on the shopping street with all the restaurants at your reach. 6 to 9 PM. We were able to get a permit from the city to block off one entire block (90 parking spaces). Park and enjoy the cars and all the other businesses. Ruth's Chris is still offering free appetizers with your dinner and The Melting Pot is offering free chocolate fondues as well. That's a great restaurant right on that block we have to ourselves. Leopold's Ice Cream, the oldest ice cream shop in Savannah is also there waiting for us.
