So I wanted to get some feed back for a Weekend Santa Barbra Loop & lunch. I wanted to get some suggetions for resturants. I would like to keep a way from state street, reason being there is no palce to park.

and I wanted to set up a date when we can get a couple of people intrested.

    Thoughts ???

Great idea...it's a beautiful drive up the coast. I myself plan to put together a Santa Ynez/wine country run down the line. Perhaps we'll each buy a bottle of wine from our favorite winery and donate it to a needy homeless drunk...after all, we have to give back to the community :)

I've got a buddy who owns a nice restaurant up there in S.B. I'd be happy to give him a call and see if he has parking and could accomodate us. Ya thinks? His business partner is Kevin Costner and I'd love to opporutnity to tell Kevin how much his movie "The Postman" blew, bit & sucked all at the same time. I'm sure he'll be there, seeing as his career is...uh, non-existent.

The Biltmore has a great resutrant, the last F-chat Santa Barbara run was in 04 and they went to Cavas in Montecito.

Personanly I would suggest you go to Santa Barbara and then up 154 to have lunch/dinner at the Cold Springs Tavern on Stagecoach rd, and also of course enjoy Stage Coach road itself.

He's right, there are no fences....just skid marks and a bunch of signs that read "Karim's been here"......:) :) :)

Karim, you put the fence in "Of-fence-ive" ;)

Terrific place, but parking is non-existant.

That being said, I'd still go to La Super Rica!

Very nice spot btw.Do they have a lot of speed bumps to get into the palce ?

I would really like to stay a way from places that have loads of speed bumps.

    Example:
Ojai valley in and spa *very nice* place to have a lunch brake, but that driveway into the Ojai valley inn is very nice but tooo many speed bumps

To speed bumps will p/o a lot of owners whos cars are fairly low to the ground.

I don't know if I should post this here or under ********** or even at all? During our recent L.V. run, we all carried 2 way walkie talkies. This really helps with communication between cars. We were able to all stay together as well as point out problems encountered up the road. If would be great if we all carried them and agreed before each run on a private frequency. Just a thought.

Any of the Motorola or Midland that have the sub frequencies. They usually come in pairs and are priced from $59 - $79. The key is they must have the frequency number and a sub frequency number, that way we can have a very private conversation. They're available at costco, office depot, etc.
