    Theres a thread for OC area, anyone effected by the SD fires? I got a phone call from PD an hour ago to be on alert for evacuation if they call back, or knock on door.

    Still OK here in Scripps, although the eastern part of Poway above the 56 was evacuated. Deja vu... :(

    San Elijo hills is being evacuated so I guess Im next on the list, dont know where Im going though since I dont have much more land before I hit ocean

    Between the 56 and Del Dios, from the 5 to the 15, that whole area is a mess, almost up to the Crosby here in Rancho Santa Fe...

    I have school today and I'm in class right now, it's terrible.

    Is there such thing as private firefighters? I heard that for some of the big money golf course communities, they hire out their own special defenses.

    just was watching a house burn in RSF, looks like its the outskirts but I do know that RSF has been evacuated.

    ur in school? thats got to be the only school in session right now.

    My girlfriend and her family were evacuated this morning. They near Santaluz near Carmel Valley Rd. and Camino Del Sur. She said UCSD classes have been cancelled.

    250,000 evacuations so far. Where the hell is everyone supposed to go?

    On the NBC local news they were interviewing the fire/police teams and one guy said he would be surprised if the fire didn't reach the coast overnight.

    the way its moving and if things dont change for the better soon I wouldnt be surprised if it did reach the coast sometime tonight if not by morning. we need the winds to change.

    Half the sky here in Carlsbad is filled with smoke, but it hasn't spread here yet. My school wasn't closed either (but I wasn't feeling so well this morning so I stayed home). My sister didn't even want to take the Coaster back to SDSU because how many fires are going on around it. The light is orange.

    Flames were just reaching RSF as i left. Flames were headed up the hill from Del Dios highway into my housing development Cielo. I'm nervous! My prayers got out to everyone involved.

    really? I heard the same about solana beach. Im much closer to the fire and I havent heard anything yet

    I went to Olivenhain for cover but now have been evacuated from here.

    well got a call from a friend who needs my help leaving, so Im gonna go help him out. his wife is handicapped....wish us luck and stay safe everyone.
