Saleen S1?

Checking into current status of the Artega GT, I found that the design/rights have been purchased by Saleen. On their web site they show as the Saleen S1, to be manufactured in China, with Chinese financial backing, with prototype being a "2018" model. Last week Matt Farah drove one as a cup car on The Smoking Tire. The site indicates request a quote for the production version indicating base approx. $100K, but it seems like no production cars have been made(?). I also saw an article that they are having financial issues. Is Saleen actually getting somewhere with this? The car certainly looks interesting on paper, as did the Artega GT.
