I doubt if Ferrari sequentially numbered the SA Apertas, unless you have seen some. Would be kind of hard to explain No 120 of 80. All the latest Ferrari low volume models have plaques saying 1 of however many they built, unless this one is an exception. That way, they can go a few over and nobody is the wiser.

I think it's rarer than the 599 GTO.

Ultra-rare compared to normal production Ferraris, even the Barchetta, CS, Superamerica, 16M or 599 GTO, but not to something like a 250 GTO or 365 California. It is the rarest production Ferrari since the 1960s, about even with the 365 GTS/4, first built in 1969.

In my book the Aperta is not an "ultra rare" automobile. Feel free to disagree.

If Worldwide production of 80 is not "ultra rare" then what is ? Are 36 250 GTO's ultra rare ? Whom would characterize a 250 GTO as not being ultra rare ? Is 36 vs. 80 a monumental difference ? Obviously I'm just picking on the rarest bird with the 250 GTO but seems to me that any car with total Worldwide production numbers below 1000 is rare and below 100 is ultra rare. Thats just my humble opinion. Maybe we are confusing intrinsic financial value with numbers available. To me if there were only 80 made of anything that would be extremely or ultra rare. That the something is not valued by the market as other extremely low production models matters not. Bottom line is that a 599SA is ultra rare.

    Just expressing my opinion.

If you want a number, for me anything under 10. Not saying it's the only right answer, just what it is to me.

My guess would be if you await the 60 years, and if you kept it pristine, and if we still have a world left, I would say it is very rare, or ultra rare

It's all speculative. I don't consider it an ultra rare piece of machinery. But that's just me being an idiot isn't it? I'm not going to purchase one, but if those who do are happy with calling it an ultra rare car, then great. There is no disagreement in that it's a rare car, that's for sure.

Some consider it ultra rare, others don't. Defining what the limit between ultra rare, exceptionally rare, very rare, rare etc. etc. etc. is never going to end in agreement, so no point discussing it further IMO.

The diffuser on a 599 should never be painted.

Interesting.I also dislike when the diffusor is fully painted. I personnaly love when just the sides are painted and the central tunnel remains black. Like this it keeps the same idea as on the 360, F430 & Enzo.

    Here is an exemple

I am guessing this car is owned by the owner of Ferrari of Newport Beach given his penchant for Rosso Dino cars! Interesting to note that prices are getting to a point where owners are willing to separate with possibly one of one paint scheme cars....
