Hello All, Was Rosso Cordoba ever supplied in a non metallic color? If so, does anyone know the color code? I've done the search, but have come up empty handed. Thanks SRAnderson
Hi Steve, 106-R-136, 20-R-136, 106-R-7, 106-E-7 are likely candidates; there may be others. I don't recall that Rosso Cordoba was/is a metallic color. I've not seen it (that's not saying much ) in many moons of Ferrari gazing and there's no "metallizzato" in the title. At any rate, here are some references, the first of which contains the definitive list. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sho...ordeaux+salchi I was Search-ing for "Rosso Bordeaux Salchi" and one of the results turned out to be the mother lode, from the Ferrari owners site; posted by '8valve.' http://www.dinorestoration.com/resources/dinocolors/ Chips & pics courtesy of 'omgjon.' (Atch below from Jon's site.) http://www.fiatdinouk.com/technical_...s_ferrari.html Sourced from a sister Dino site. 'trust this helps, Coop Image Unavailable, Please Login
'just may be able to do that for ya. I won't have access to that info 'til tomorrow, though. I'll let you know before noon; hopefully, we'll have a good code for Glasurit or PPG. Just when I say that I haven't seen Rosso Cordoba Metallizzato, I found a reference to it it right here: http://www.jb330gt.com/Colors.htm It's referred to there as "Rosso Cordoba Metallic (Cordoba Metallic Red)" and is shown on a 308 GTB (below). Then, it gets better here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=193769&page=7 (post #130) with a Rosso Cordoba Dino parked next to a Rosso Cordoba Metalizzatto Dino! And, according to the Eurospares site, 106-R-7 WAS the metallic version of R. Cordoba. Mmmmm, Mmmmm Good. 'munching on my own words right now . Luckily for me, you are not looking for the metallizzato version, so I'll divert your attention by getting back to the task at hand: Modern code for vintage paint. I'll hopefully have an answer in the AM. Coop Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
IIRC there were a grand total of 6 308's made in that color. A member here owns one of them that was in Forza a few years ago.
I've seen it for sale way back when Ferrari of New England had it. It is stunning up close. 1976 MY IIRC.
Steve, My paint expert was not available today...damn. The best I can do is Monday. I'm sure someone will chime in before then with a good code. 'hope so. Coop
I have an original Scaglietti 32 color paint wheel. Rosso CordobaMetallizato is included. There isn't a non-metallic Rosso Cordoba, but there is "Rosso" 169-R-83 (Acrrilure)/20-R-187 (Eurolac) It is almost identical in the paint tone but without mettalic flakes.
Hi, I apologize to resurrect such an old thread, but I stumbled upon this during a search! This is my Rosso Cordoba GTB, #20575 hanging out somewhere on the New England shore. It is a very fine (size-wise) metallic. Anthony Image Unavailable, Please Login
