Roma exhaust upgrade

it'd be really good to hear a drive-by with the new exhaust. Fabspeed's site only has a stationary video doing revs.

Does the Roma have an h-pipe like my Portofino? If so,add an x-pipe also for a higher pitched sound.

Not sure where you are based. But here in the Uk, the cars come with the dreaded OPF filter. These drown out most of the sound. So without deleting the OPF, modifying any part of the rest of the system won't make much difference.

The only problem is that by removing the filter, there is not much exhaust left. You can either fit cat replacement pipes or 100 cell cats. But as there are no rear mufflers - the sound, although loud, is very rough and lacks any kind of tone.

 

Any update on the install?

cool and informative vid thanks for posting... (although the factory wheels you removed are some of my favorite factory wheels ever )
Only critique if you are going to be doing more of these is that you desperately need some better audio recording equipment for exhaust. I wish I could find it but there was a thread on another forum where a bunch of guys came up with the cheapest best ways to get good exhaust audio via an iphone and some cheap equipment.

 

I just received my Ferrari Roma and love everything about it except the exhaust note. Many people have said it's too low. That is not my issue, I think it is too loud, like a muffled sound inside the cabin (like a drone) that gets louder as you go higher in the gears. My 812 Superfast is lower. Is it me? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
