I was looking at a Roma at a Ferrari dealer today, and noted to the salesman that the door release is a button, so there must be an emergency release. However, I didn't see one and he didn't know. I didn't follow up and ask him to look it up, but I did mention that at least one man died in his C7 Corvette (along with his little dog, if I recall correctly), when the battery died and he was locked inside, while parked outside a restaurant on a hot day. In the case of the Corvette, there was in fact a cable release near the transmission tunnel in front of the seat, but he was unable to find it in time. I've poked around on here and on the internet / videos generally, but even Doug Demuro who notes all the "quirks and features" of the Roma including the door button, did not mention a backup system. Anyone care to enlighten me / possibly save the life of someone reading this one day? If there actually isn't a backup, I'd throw one of those glass-breaking and shoulder belt cutting devices meant for water emergency crashes in the console. Thanks in advance for satisfying my curiosity.

As a side note, the Roma is just stunning in Rosso Fiorano.

There is a back up. On each dor there is a spot where a cable loop resides. Pull the cable and the door opens. Tho I’ve never tried it.

Thanks. Looking again at DeMuro's video, at 3:54 he opens the door and you can see inside the door pocket and there looks to be a pouch inside that has the cable in it. I hope the dealers have that as part of their delivery spiel, since if one had to figure it out under pressure, it's not at all obvious, or marked in any way that that I can see. Of course no one wants one of those glow in the dark handles that are mandated in trunks in their interior, but much like the Chrysler transmission that returned to the same position after engaging Park (or not) and resulted in injuries and the death of actor Anton Yelchin, if you're going to change something so fundamental as having a door handle to pull, you have to anticipate that people will be affected who are not knowledgeable about the novelty. Chrysler did a software fix and then dropped the shifter entirely. The Roma I was sitting in while asking this question was actually displaying a low battery / discharge warning on the dashboard, presumably from just sitting around in the showroom. Maybe they could have "pull to open door" in contrasting stitching on the pouch in your choice of font.
