I have a 18k YG Daytona with black leather. I'm thinking of also adding a YG bracelet. Obviously I already have the deployment clasp.

Does anyone know where I can get the bracelet only?

Sell the watch on a strap & buy another that is with bracelet.
You will come out way ahead. Noone will sell a 18k original Rolex bracelet anywhere near what you could do by selling & buying another. Of course I am talking pre-owned not new.

I actually like the leather strap. That's why I bought it. I want both the leather and the YG bracelet.

I don't think you can retro fit a bracelet on a leather strapped Daytona (if the Daytona was originally equipped w leather). The bracelet interfaces directly with the watch body while the leather Daytona has a "little/mini" (don't know what else to call it) bracelet integrated into the body that the leather strap then interfaces into.

But, if any one would know, Darth would.

I have a late 90's YG Daytona with croco strap. And I was told it cannot be retro fitted to YG bracelet because the casing is different. I don't know if current model Daytona can be retro fitted or not.

I've got a WG Daytona and I was told the same thing by an authorized Rolex dealer... but, I was also told by the person who does their in house watch service/repair that all I would need is modified end links and it would work. He said they had done the conversion on other customers watches.

I have the same desire...to be able to switch back and forth between strap and bracelet for YG Daytona...Darth, can you provide instructions on how it can be done? I'm especially interested in learning about any aftermarket end pieces out there that can be used with a genuine Rolex oyster bracelet. T

    Thanks.

Watch casing on the two versions are different. End link on the leather strap version is actually part of the watch case. So I guess to fit a metal bracelet you have to modify the end link of the bracelet.

Rolex doesn't want people doing this. The cases are different. If you send a watch to them for repair with the wrong strap/bracelet, they will put it back to correct and charge you for the new one.

That's my understanding. The Case on the Strap Daytona has what's called "hooded" links that actually fit under the UPH Bezel. To avoid having to do major work, modified end pieces that are linear rather than curved would have to be made/modified. They would have to fit flush against the straight edge of the hooded end pieces, as the cylinder shaped part of the Strap that houses the springbar does...Of course the leather of the strap eliminates any scratching problem....with a modified metal end link some way would have to be found to prevent scratching.

That also seems to be the consensus from the Rolex Forum discussions I've read.

Darth is correct. The cases are different and Rolex USA acts as if they own your watch and you are merely wearing it. Paris is another matter entirely. I was looking at a yellow gold Daytona with a gold dial in a shop on Place Vendôme and they were more than happy to replace it with a black dial. When I asked a US dealer the same question, he was horrified and told me it was not possible.

You would need to buy a complete original or aftermarket bracelet and completely remove your end pieces and leather strap. No affiliation with below link..just an example.
