That lead FORD is gone....It looked like a race a few laps ago.
same here...missed Daytona and glad I wasn't there for 23 of those hours (cold wet miserable weather) but damn that finish...great racing in 3 of the 4 classes.
ha exactly. Is there a Ferrari hospitality at Sebring? Porsche has one so perhaps they do. Let's have a beer!
If there was ever a chance for favoritism, that was it. I'm surprised it was a no call, but they really let people race the whole race. Damn good racing!
The contact though is a tricky one. He seemed to drift out creating the gap and then want to cut back in once gathered. If the lead car would have taken a slightly wide line there would not have been a spin. Not sure on this one.
Since VIR last season they have pretty much consistently made it a no call if the leading car widens the line and then cuts back in.
yep, let people race, so don't change standard at end, also who was responsible for the 5 and 10 contact 10 minutes before that? as announcers said, race as you want others to race. If the 5 raced clean 24 hours, then I feel bad for them.
I hate that rule, I ran into racers like that all the time in club. If you will have a run on me I will make one defensive move. If you don't have a chance in hell, then I will keep my driving line from a wide entry. Problem is you have asshats like the #10 who will dive bomb and hit you when you turn in ON THE LINE.
Nose of the 10 should have been to the other drivers shoulder. That's the way we did go karts. If you can't see them, they punted you.
Congrats to Cadillac! Glad to see them winning in PWC and now IMSA. I was hoping the RSR would takeover the GT toward the end, but it was too good to be true...
I think the RSR ran out of tires. It's appeared to be the fastest car on the track the last 30 mins until the last 5.
Yeah...at least it made for exciting racing while it lasted. The overnight storms made it fun, too. I had a hard time watching the racing from 3:30-7:30 because I was glued to the Federer-Nadal final and it was incredible. Amazing Sunday morning with both events to say the least. 2017 looks to be an amazing year in sports thus far. Can't wait to see the RSR get some wins. A 911 winning a 24 hour race and Federer winning a Grandslam would've been the ultimate throwback Sunday.
Saw Scott Pruett last night..said he got tapped from behind which I didn't see on the video..plus he was 2 laps away from getting a new set of tires...The Conti tires did not do well, and all the damage to their other car.....they are getting ready for testing and Sebring..
