This is his 5th season in F1. And now for something completely different: https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/15170967/formula-one-lance-strolls-girlfriend-sara-pagliaroli-bikini/
Lance deserved better today. And since we/I have often bad mouthed Seb on this thread: Today was his day to shine and he did. Brilliantly. Already looked great at Monaco, was robbed in qualifying yesterday but came back super strong today. I'm optimistic that his down-and-out period is over and he will go on to be bringing back results for Aston Martin. Lance has to up his game now, although he would have done well in today's GP. Woulda, coulda, shoulda don't win races but it wasn't his fault not to finish. Anyway water under the bridge now. Just glad that AM is back in contention for a good mid field position.
Yes he did deserve better. The team was on pace to exceed expectations with both cars. But, Seb was the benefit of others misfortune. In the end it worked out well if not for Lance personally.
Apparently there was even a win in the cards for Seb: Perez' RB suffered from hydraulic pressure failure and could have terminated the drive at any moment, which is why they told him to stop immediately after the s/f line. Imagine that! Then again, that would have been cruel on him. So overall the Racing Gods did an ok-ish job yesterday.
This seems like an appropriate thread to as this:: The announcers for the race stated that this as Aston Martin's first podium. That would stand if Red Bull were not Aston Martin last year. Is this just some simple word smithing that RB-AM was not AM ?? {Yes I know the original AM racing 1959-1960}
This could well become the Aston-Martin thread. Both Lance and Sebastien had very good drives today at Paul Ricard, good drives coupled with very good tire strategy. Especially good to see Sebastien regaining some of his former panache.
Right. Points for both the AM guys. That's about all they can aspire to as the Baku result can only be classified as freaky.
