The alloy 300 Sl, is probably a world record amount at 9 mill +

Some other cars appeared to have been mangled by Godzilla, nevertheless all sold.
Miura engine (99% there?) all the money....

I feel that this is the more correct heading for this thread; after all, an auction is a branch of the "Market". Either way, I felt that many of the prices were way over the top. I only wish that I knew what I was looking at with items like the transmissions. The RM explanations didn't even ID these. Is there a way to ID transmissions?
I inquired if there was any paperwork with any of the "hulks" that would lend a hand in registering them. There was none!

My thread is purposefully posted in the Vintage Market Section and is specific to the recent/current auction...and I am not going to apologize for it. I searched the subsection before posting to be sure it was not a duplicate. The thread you reference was started in 2013 about the junkyard and Rudi's collection in general. Two different, but related topics. It could be said that the comments on the auction should have been made on this subforum instead of there...but I'm not criticizing anyone for that... ;-)
