    Hi again guys.
I want to restore my 16" wheels but I don't find here in Spain the paint with reference Fer101c, the original paint for he Ferrari wheels. My question is if you have experienced the difference between the Wurth wheels paint, the FER101c and the general paint reference RAL 9006. I want to know if the RAL 9006 will match the FER101c original paint (the RAL 9006 is easy to find; every auto paint shop can do it with the automatic machine).
Or, second option, any of you knows the exact composition of the FER101c paint? -to introduce the numbers on the paint machine maker-.

    Thanks in advance

Don't destroy the DOW17 Mag coating. It's a Pandoras box of trouble.

    Thanks for the info 2dinos.
I'm planning only to slightly prepare the surface to recoat, not to bring to bare metal the wheels. I know the magnesium troubles.

About the FER101c paint, as I've seen that you're not so well informed about the paint -so many views, no answers-, I've decided to investigate a bit by myself. This colour code is a Glasurit code, only from the Glasurit factory. Don't search this code on PPG paint or others. Is not a RAL chart colour. The name of the 101c paint is Argento Nurburgring Metalizzato, used on Ferraris from 1982 to the present. There are different Argento paints with colour codes 100, 111, 901, 701, 6336031...

I've found a very useful Glasurit tool in this address:
    http://www.es.glasurit.com/COLOR/new-color-online/m1frameset.php

If you go there you will be able to find every Glasurit paint formule for your Ferrari. Just choose the make and the year -forget to choose the model-. and a list will appear. Choose one and at the bottom of the window will appear the formule, and if you push the next button you will go to the page that will show the exact formule and quantity, for the part you need.

I attach a screenshot of the web and a Word file with some 101c info.

I hope that this info will help.

    Cheers

P.S.: I don't want to offend all the very experienced people at Fchat if this post is repeated -I've found nothing about it-
