But..... If you don't ask you don't get ! A price can always be reduced but it's real hard to increase. Higher prices being asked is an indication that appreciation (and desirability) of these cars is on the up which is way overdue. Problem is if they carry on going up sadly I won't be buying any more in the foreseeable future.
There is a 412 up for auction in the next Shannon's Melbourne Autumn Classic auction. https://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/2016-shannons-melbourne-autumn-classic-auction/L1E0992O63ONND0E/
I've just checked and they've very sensibly reduced the price now. A$ 199,995 They probably need a quick sale 😆

Looks like this car's been personalised to some degree. The pair of rods/struts supporting the unusual spare wheel cover aren't standard either - unless that's standard and all of ours aren't 😆 I hate to say this but I sort of like the wheels. Sorry 👅
This is worth saving, especially as it is the first ever RHD 400 (though treat most of the other "facts" in the advert with a pinch of salt. I though "Sedoni" (sic) were more into luxury leather goods than cutting Ferraris... ). 1977 Ferrari 400i Convertible - UK Car, Resto Project, Please Read.. | eBay This is what it looked like back in 1977 (copyright Neill Bruce). I like these wheels on this car very much also as they give the car more of a sporting and aggressive look! They appear to be OEM Ferrari spec measuring 15x9 - would these have been originally fitted to a stock Daytona? The step lip makes them look wider - what is the stock size for a normal center lock on a 365 GT4 2+2? I can only imagine them being rather cost prohibitive but in the several 100 pictures I've seen of these cars over the years, I honestly cannot recall having seen another one with this setup. Anyone want to take a stab as to where those rearview mirrors came from? They look American. Between the incorrect front end, mirrors and wheels - wonder what's the story with the car? Beautiful car in great condition. Why not ask for the money when the nearest columbo v12 alternative is a minimum of 4 times the value..
A few of the mob in Aussie are trying to get some info on this, the owner is being a little quiet in getting back to them. Ferrari 400i in NSW | eBay
looks like this one, that sold at shannons in 2011 for $12500 https://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/2011-shannons-melbourne-autumn-classic-auction/QE2FX9CFXQH7TRFD/
This has come up at a reasonable price compared to all the 365's on offer here. Typo on the mileage one would suspect. 1980 Ferrari 400 A i Auto
Given up on a manual, too hard to find. After Al's comments on his auto, I'll give it a go and see if I like it. If it passes PPI, then it'll be a reasonable buy.
