    I have had a few mobile detail companies detail my M3 and the cost has always been in the $150 to $200 range. The results have been good, but not great. They never seem to be able to really get the paint to look any better than I can, and I'm not even that good at it. I have been looking around for someone in the central Ohio area that can really get the paint back to basically what it looked like when new. A friend recommended Esoteric Auto Detail www.esotericdetail.com. They were ranked by AutoWeek as one of the top 9 auto detailers in the country.

    I contacted the owner, Todd, and began to discuss what I wanted done with the car. He is a great guy to deal with and really knows his stuff. He also happens to be a big fan of the e46 M3, so we had a lot to chat about. I drove over to his place for an evaluation. He estimated it would take about 10-12 hours for a complete interior, exterior, and engine detail. Most of that time being spent on getting the paint make to almost new condition.

    I dropped it off last Friday and he had it all done by Sunday evening (total of 11 hours of work at $50 per hour). All I can say is WOW!!!! I have posted some photos of the results, but they don't even do it justice. I think the paint is now even better than new. He got out all of the small scratches, imperfections, etc. that have accumulated from years of driving and not-so-good detailing jobs. The interior and engine are also immaculate, but I don't have any photos of those areas just yet (he is sending me a CD full of before and after photos). His work is not cheap, but the results are amazing.

    So, if you happen to live vaguely near Columbus, Ohio and are looking to get your car detailed I highly recommend Esoteric Detail. Great work and great customer service.

    Great review, Parker. I know Todd really well (He and I are both members of Autopia) and I usually speak with him on a weekly basis. He really is one of the best detailers around, and an even better guy in general. He's a pro in every sense of the word.

    Thank you kindly for the positive review of my work. I always put a tremendous amount of effort into my detailing services, and treat each and every vehicle as if it was my own. I'm always happy to hear such positive feedback, but I usually know it's coming when I see the look on the owner's face when they come to pick up their (new) cars.

    I always enjoy getting to know the owners of the vehicles I am working on, and you were no exception. Anybody that drives an M3 and is a big-time Ferrari fan is OK in my book! :)

    And thank you kindly for handing me the keys to your car when you came over for the inspection...it was a joy to drive.

    Very cool to know. I might bring my Spyder up there from Cincy... My parents live in Marion (where I grew up) so right on the way. Good to know a great Auto Conditioner/detailer close by!

    Todd your work does speak for its self. I have seen many details done by him and I must say, some FANTASTIC work. Attention to detail and absolute rejuvenation of paint and leather takes time and care. I can possibly post some links of the work he has done already, and I would REALLY love to show the work he did to a well needed M6. Mind you this is a Daily Driver and it NEEDED LIFE! He made this thing look Brand Spanking New! Pictures will speak for them selves!

    Todd's work is impeccable. He's a true professional...and a part-time comedian when it comes to his write-ups! :)

    I've had the chance to meet Todd and he's a real nice guy and it's immediately apparent that he's very passionate about what he does.
