Ever since BMW introduced the I-drive, I swore I would never buy another one.

 

And I thought it was the Bangle Styling that turned people off...

 

Hey, I like both the iDrive and SMG in my M5...in fact, I can't imagine having anything else for a daily driver...I have wondered where all the people come from that find iDrive difficult to use...now I know...thanks guys...PS, did you know your hero MS has several BMWs...including an M5 with iDrive and SMG and I bet he finds it easy to operate as well...

FWIW, MS isn't my hero. I cheer for the TEAM, not the player. This is Ferrarichat, not MSchat. If MS joined McLaren tomorrow, I'd be pulling for MS to finish third (ahead of FA) but behind KR and FM...MS is gone and 2007 can't get here fast enough for me...

FWIW, I tried iDrive (again) and it (still) stinks, although it is improving; As for the SMG, obviously you've never driven the vastly superior VW/Audi DSG; rumor has it that BMW and Ferrari may copy it too....

FWIW, my daily driver is a BMW-sans iDrive and with a manny tranny.

 

Dose this mean we send MS a manual transmission and a I-Drive bypass kit for his M5.
