I'd rather have a C6 with a body kit than someone taking an old car and doing this to it.

Just looking at the fender profiles (particularly the rear) I really doubt that this is an original body.

It is rather nice for the person who wants such a thing.

But, like yourself - I would rather have the current ZR1 in stock form.

Not bad, but they should have used the original mirrors. New ones look like truck mirrors on that body.

I would buy that in a nano second. But money seems to always be an issue...

I'd rather restore a C2 w a modern frame, engine, & keep the body & interior mostly stock

Actually doing this w a 68 roadster right now

I'm not that thrilled w the body in the picture

That's pretty cool. Still hate the Corvette's interior though.

    That is a C6 with a body kit. It's not a resto-mod.

The newer cars starting with the C5 then C6 with the retro bodies look horrible. However, I would love to have a C2 or C3 resto mod. That would be a car you could enjoy taking on trips and not run across another one. A restored one is not so much for taking trips in.

Pro touring/Restomod cars with C6 underpinnings are rare and worth every penny they are selling for... if you can find one.

Its a cool looking c6, but its a c6, injected mtoor and c6 inetrior.
The spirit of a c2 has many other dimensions. Personally rathe got for a synthetically upgraded C2 with stonking free reving solid lifter carbed motor, stiffened frame and updated suspension.

However its all one hobby with many different tastes, and anyone into cool cars, from a beettle based kit car to the guy running a Gt2 clubsport on track are part of the same car enthusiast hobby tent, so yeah love the op car c6/c2.
