I am removing the centers of my three piece 360 Forged brand wheels to repaint them. I have not separated the front barrels from the rear barrels and the tires are still on the rims. after removing the bolts the air pressure escaped and the seal has been broken. Will they reseal when I bolt the centers back in place? Or if not, anyone have any experience in resealing them?

I can and will google it but frankly, I trust you folks here. Google, not so much.

New sealant needs to be applied. When I had my Kinessis three piece rims taken apart (centers were anodized to a golden color), I had Ye Old Wheel Shoppe in Maryland straighten and polish the rims, seal, assemble, remount tires and balance them. At that time, I lived in Northern Virginia and drove to the shop. But the rims will need to be resealed. Over time, the rim bolts will need to be re-torqued to maintain the seal and tightness.

Thanks, I was going with new hardware too. I've tried to contact 360 Forged about these wheels for info on this but my e-mails have gone unanswered and phone calls don't seem to go through. Perhaps not in business any longer(?)

On the last set I took apart , I used a semi fast drying epoxy to reseal the inner and outer barrels together . After drying , I then added the face of the wheels and applied and torqued the front facing hardware to 25 lb/ft and rear facing to 20 lb/ft . Not sure what kind of hardware yours has but I suggest contacting your wheel manufacturer to verify torque specs .

3 piece wheels aren't sealed with epoxy; it is too rigid. They use silicon adhesive/caulk and then bolt & torque.

I had one fixed at a local shop. It cost less than $50 to have the wheel disassembled, cleaned, trued, and assembled (don't remember the exact cost). The time to get it there was the biggest inconvenience since the cost is minimal.

My Compomotives just use two big O-rings. No sealant. The O-rings need to be replaced if you separate the wheels pieces.

Right. And some makers use a rubber seal.

I didn't mean epoxy....I meant silicone and then bolt the face on .

Forged 360 got back to me so I can ask them the particulars about these wheels. I kind of suspect they may have and "o" ring seal since if they were silicone sealed I doubt the seal would have been broken so easily. We'll see...
