The first appearance of a 333 SP, Jay Cochran driving in the rain on the Thursday test session at Road Atlanta in 1994. The photo is by Richard A. Dole and may not be further distributed.

This is the Risi Competizione car. It won its class at the 1998 24 Heure de Mans. I happened to work for them from August 2000 thru May of this year at Ferrari of Dallas. Had the car on the showroom floor for over six months. They now race the 360GT in American Lemans. Finished 2nd overall at the 24 hours at Daytona this year.

Look for Ferrari to bring a Maserati in the Sports Racer class and to maintain their presence in F1. SR car will be based on Enzo with Maserati badging

I believe between $600,000 and maybe $725,000 depending on what comes with it. Just a estimate though.

I think slightly less. Symbolic had #001 asking $595K in (NOV?) Forza. I saw that car before it was restored to its current red livery.

What do you guys think, will there be another "Factory" Ferrari endurance racer like the 333?

That is what I was wishing for, formula one is great, but imsa type racers would be awesome. F1 is a little boring right now, I like the other tracks for imsa much better.

You look at the 333sp and it seems more like a Ferrari, the F1s, well I have a hard time thinking how that is in any way related to street cars.

Ducati (my fave) basically changes the fairings to make it street legal, so what you ride to the track could potentially be ridden by the winner.

You would think that with the success of the Prodrive 550's and even the private entered 550's and 360's Ferrari would catch on and build a Factory version of those cars. But I think I'd love to see Ferrari compete against the Audi factory teams with the Prototype racers, now that would be something!

I will stick my neck out here.

Ferrari will not produce, at least in the foreseeable future, a Sports Prototype Racer or LeMans style car. They will concentrate solely on F1 with true factory sponsoring and support the efforts of GT class and GTS class cars in a very small way. They will leave the endurance sports car racing to Maserati in order to increase the exposure to the brand by the public. And like has been discussed, the first Maserati Sports Racer will be based on the Enzo chasis.

Think about it. What better way to completely cover the field than to have the brands split. F1 to Ferrari, LeMans/Daytona/Sebring to Maserati and Grand Am and American LeMans to 360GT and 550/575GTS.
