New owner of 2007 F430 Was wondering what should I expect to pay with part and labor for pump replacement?? Thx! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
A ship load. What's the problem? If it's a water leak the seals can just be replaced. Someone on here does a kit. Often they will seep a little even when good.
The water/oil pump for your 2007 is $1800 for the part only. I recently bought one for my car. I have no idea of the labor costs.
It looks like little of both oil and water on the PPI. I am not skilled enough to replace or rebuild myself and we only have one place here that is endorsed to do it. As a service shop they only sell new and do not rebuild them. They quoted something like 5400 and I wasnt sure if this seemed reasonable. It has never been replaced in 15 years with 14k miles….any other thoughts/suggestions? Thx!
It's about a 4 hour job to replace, so I don't think that quote is reasonable. Where are you located?
You should have many specialist shops you can call to get a quote on the labor if you supply the parts. I've attached all the part numbers you need in the screen shot. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Had this done 4 years ago by a reputable indie. Cost $3,500 for a new oil/water pump and labor. I hear that they can be rebuilt with a kit to save some money. I still have my old pump thinking I would do this in case I had to deal with another failure but sold my 430 earlier this year.
Not really a common item to go. I think I have only ever replaced one. It's a straight forward job which is nice. That said, these cars are getting older so this may become more and more common.
A ferrari workshop will not rebuild them as ferrari do not supply spare parts kits for them, a bit crackers really in this day and age.
Thanks for the info! I don’t have any options other than one authorized service shop but at least I have ballpark what parts cost and what others getting charges! Thx! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
