replacing 458S tow hook cover

Has anyone ever lost the cover and had to replace it? I went to the track this past weekend and lost mine. I found a replacement here:

However, when I went to replace it, it would not fit properly. It's too loose and falls easily.

On the diagram page, under Tow Hook Cover, ref 5, the site suggests: Order clip 16405002 ref 24 separately.

I'm guessing the clip is needed for the replacement cover to fit properly? I'm confused, because I only had one piece that got lost and never needed a clip.

Anyone with experience with it? I contacted support.
