I purchased new windshield trim for my 355. Can the old trim be removed and new trim be installed without having to replace the windshield? I have searched for a ho to video, but found no results.

    Thanks

You cant change the trim or seal without removing the screen. Its bonded in so easy to kill the rubber seal when removing . The rubber Is fitted inside the metal trim and then both fitted to the glass before installation. Ive done my 348 which is the same set up. Ive heard of people removing the glass and saving it to refit but its the rubber seal which is the problem. I destroyed mine removing it although I had all new parts including glass so it didnt matter.. Did you buy the rubber as well? Its normally sold together with the metal trim. Metal easy to save. You often see the metal parts for sale without the rubber. There is a reason for that..Ive seen it written that you can save the seal when removing but good luck with that..

Trim and rubber fitted to glass be fore install.

Thanks for the reply. The new windshield trim does include the rubber seal. I will and keep this the side until it is time to replace the complete set up.
