Any preference on best paint to utilize for the black overall and white text for the air-box Image Unavailable, Please Login cover on the 308? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I use VHT black wrinkle for the box but I have my body shop guy do the white so i don't know what he uses there.
I am about to do this myself, and I have the correct script to apply via silkscreen - but, as my original logo is all but gone, I can't get the correct measurements off it. Would someone be so good as to give me the measurements for the Ferrari script on the QV airbox please (if I get that size right, the UFI bit will also be correct)/ Many thanks.
I used VHT wrinkle and it came out well. Read up on it and practice first as temperature, thickness and time all count.
Try spraying the stencil in black first to prevent bleed then hit it in white...... worked on other type stencils for me....
I would strip the lid and repaint with VHT black wrinkle paint, and then silk-screen the stencil in white ink after...
Is the 328 supposed to have that script? I have a 1987 328, and I don't see any evidence of the script.
Yes but it doesn't have the UFI part at the end (that is actually on the rear end of the lower part of the box).
Here's a photo of it on my 1989 328 GTS. Can just make out the UFI logo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I found that Italiancarparts.com has refinished airbox covers. You have to send the core to them in advance.
