No matter what people might be speculating about Mercedes coming to the rescue...they have enough on their plate without supplying Alpine with motors. And who really wants to get involved with Alpine, they struggling to stay alive. They don't have the money to design a totally new car for 2025 that uses a new motor. The only way Alpine can only survive is if someone buys it. That means Andretti/Alpine...using the car and engine that Andretti and Cadillac have been working on for well over a year. And that means new money to add to the Alpine pot. And that means Andretti doesn't need to be the 11th team on the grid...there will still only be 10 teams. And that means that Alpine can stop juggling their management...let Andretti do the heavy lifting. Win Win Win...Apline wins, Andretti wins, F1 wins.

Speculating is fun but that’s not the plan being reported by anyone and not Alpine!

I don't think Alpine has a plan, so there is no way for anyone to report anything. I happen to think the Andretti is the best solution to Alpine staying in F1.

Andretti is not a solution to anything related to Alpine.
Alpine buying engines is far cheaper than being a PU builder. RedBull will learn that quickly if the new PU is not a success.

I have not seen these reports, but if Renault is out of F-1 why would Alpine even still be in it? its 100% owned by Renault? If true - then a sale makes the most sense, and given the French economy, I would think Renault wants all the cash it can get.

I think Renault is thinking about converting its facilities at Viry Chatillon into a research centre for the group, and stop making racing engines.
It has been accepted by the workforce and the unions apparently.
Alpine F1 would have reached an agreement with Mercedes-AMG, about buying their PUs from 2025 or 2026.
I don't know if that will affect the Alpine Hypercars actually racing in the WEC.
Renault has denied that Alpine F1 based at Enstone, UK, would be for sale.
