I thought it was going to be another Fast & the Foolish. It was worse. There was not much driving action at all. Think Andy Sidaris flick.

When they can't even string together enough good scenes to make a commercial you gotta expect that.

Wow they sole purpose of the movie is driving action (its not like there will be a good plot) and they can't even get that right.

There will always be differences of opinion so I will admit that I think it was not half bad. Better than I was expecting. Had somewhat of a story, a BEAUTIFUL leading actress, and of course - a flock of supercars. As long as you don't have BIG budget expectations I think you'll enjoy it for what it is - a decent low budget film. :)

Just saw it. One of the shortest movies I've ever seen.

Best selection of GREAT cars in any movie in world history, IMO!! NO "RICE"....I can't remember seeing one! Most were $200k+ super-high-end euro exotics, and also a few of the best American Muscle cars.

Don't quote me but I think it had at least Fcars (lots!), Lambos (plenty), Koenigsegg (sp?), Ford GT, Porsches, Maser, Cobra(?), Saleen (S7), Merc/Mac SLR, Hummer, and something called a "Vette".

As far as the Eurocars go, I think in this film they seemed to try to mostly avoid the "low-end" exotics like the 355, 360, and Gallardo.

The BEST thing I'd personally want to drive from the movie?....the Enzo...no wait, the CCX....no wait, the CGT....no, the S7.....actually, er, uh, Nadia Bjorlan (sp?) would be my choice!

Plot? Well, they did at least TRY real hard. (Did I mention it had cool cars in it!?)

A few terrible acting performances, and some reasonable ones. Vin Diesel in "TF&TF", and Stallone in "Driven", could be perennial Oscar contenders if they only had to compete against this bunch.

The producer shamelessly had a real-name cameo (on the phone, with Tim Matheson's character) in the film. He even named his company after himself. This guy self-promotes better than The Donald. But if he owns/loves all those cars he's a good guy in my book.

The star of the film was (it's even basically the only thing I saw on the movie's promotional poster outside the theater) not an actor, but a car....the FERRARI ENZO! How could I NOT like the first film in world history to have my favorite car of all-time on the poster and as the main "star" of the film. Tell me, FERRARIchat folks, of one other movie like that!

The best part of the film was that Eddie Griffen doesn't drive in it.

The worst part was watching the Enzo and CGT knowing that this bunch wrecked them in real-life.

But, oh, if you hate the film, then please risk your OWN $25 million and give us, the audience, a better film....otherwise STFU.

Oh, did I mention it was a "rice-free" film? :)

I liked it. It actually had a decent plot, the cars were awesome Nadia Bjorlin was hot, as other people said some actors were good, others not so much. The CGI could have been more realistic, but the Carrera GT wreck was awesome(but sad). If you can put aside the time I would suggest seeing it for the cars like everyone else did. Even though I liked it I doubt Sadek will get back all of his money back on this one. I went to a 6:30 showing and there were only 5 other people there.

The theater I saw it at (in Newport Beach) said that every show from 5pm onwards was already sold out. I bet he DOES get his $25 mill out of it.

The driving-action scenes were only fair. But I wasn't paying much attention to that anyway as I was mostly pre-occupied with Nadia's headlights.

The chicks were pretty hot (when I'm fantisizing about the lead adult character's MOTHER, who's old enough to be a granny, then you know that either the film has real hot chicks in it, or that the film is so dang boring that I have to spend my time fantisizing about a GRAND-MOTHER!)

Look, you just kinda KNOW that any film where Eddie Griffen is the best known actor in the film is only going to be so good anyway. (Look, if you demand better movies, then I suggest looking for DVDs with the words "Hepburn" and "Tracy" on the cover, mkay?)

A 3:15 Friday showing, and only 9 other people in the theater.

Ferrari should sue the producers since the Enzo wasn't listed in the "cast" credits, as the top billed performer!

I really like Eddie Griffen as a street-wise crackup in many films (Undercover Brother, etc.), but this was his worst role, IMO.

Fortunately, only one part of one scene had "NOS" in it. I hate NOS.

At the risk of sounding like a Fchat "purist", I think that a Veyron, or "rice", or "tuner" cars, would have polluted the film. Your thoughts?

That was an hour and a half and $30 I'll never get back in life. That was the biggest sucking donkey balls acting and plot I've ever had the misfortune of watching. Don't waste good money to go see it. Wait 2 months for the DVD.
The hot cars and the hotter women, was the only thing that made me and my wife stay for the whole movie.

Well, the one car with "rice"(chrome wheels and NOS) didn't have a happy ending. I do agree that rice would polluted the film. I agree that Eddie Griffen was horrible in this movie, not that it wa his fault, his role was horrible, he was hillarious as the pimp in "Norbit". I wish that the Konigsegg got more screen time.

Good advice, as the DVD will also hopefully have some behind-the-scenes CAR stuff on it.

Also, it would be interesting to see on the DVD stuff about Eddie's Enzo crash (which they'd be crazy to NOT include on the DVD, as that story even made CNN news....a publicist's wet dream.)

The theater was less than half full for the 7:30 show. They said that they were holding a second theater for overflow in case the first sold out ;)

I found myself rolling my eyes most of the time. The car racing seemed to be the cheesiest part and way too staged. Some of the other scenes weren't too bad and sorta action film, James Bondish.

$25MM to make this? I had thought about $20MM. My guess is the guy will lose his ass. With the mortgage biz drying up and the guy selling part of his interest in a thriving nightclub recently, I hope he's been saving for a rainy day. Gotta give the guy credit for having the guts to try to make something like this.

    I went....

    I feel victimized....

Terrible movie. How could the editors actually sit back and think they put together something worthwhile. The lead chick was bangable and a nice image for the spank-bank....otherwise ZERO cinematic redeeming quality.

The minutes you lose watching this movie...you never get them back! :(
It was just wrong and it don't get no wronger!

Okay, this is off topic, but looking at other "car movies" does anyone else feel like Gone in 60 Seconds was terrible? For a movie about stealing fast cars, it had precious few good car scenes. 20 minutes wasted on an Escalade, etc...

I'm still going to go see it.

    My thoughts?

It could be awesome just to hear the engine notes. The rest of the time, is for utilizing things you brought with you to the movie. ie your girlfriend, hot "just friends" friend, or last but not least, munch on popcorn.

All movies have their bad parts. Might as well bite the bullet. Think about how many horrible "horror" movies I was lucky enough to not be alive for. I'm making up for the minutes I would have lost watching those instead. :p

And the Shelby wasn't real. That's what bugged me the most. I could really care less about the rest. The Ferrari warehouse was a nice touch. 275 GTB and 575 were the only ones I can remember seeing though..

Sounds like the producer should have gone to Vegas with his $25M, at least he'll have his wrecked Enzo as a reminder also.

I'll have to rent it when it comes out on DVD next week.

Selling out theaters in his hometown is not the same as selling tickets nationwide. Depending on the deal his indie releasing company made with theater chains he may very well owe them money. As someone else has just informed us that overflow screens were readied and it didn't even sell out the primary screen this could get financially ugly. Well it's already financially ugly. I meant brutal.
