After a brief time considering a Rosso Fiorano build, my older son convinced me that Bianco Avus with the (poor man's) bicolore roof is actually the way to go...

So we're now down the final details on the build, and wanted to do a sanity check on our brake caliper choice. Red or yellow?

With the visually nearby shields and center caps in yellow, yellow seems to be an easy choice. However, I am actually leaning towards red as I think it sets off a contrast with the white and would go with the red stitching / red tach I was planning for the interior. I could also opt for carbon fiber center caps I suppose.

Does the red clash with the yellow details? What do you prefer?

Not that you should listen to anyone but yourself-- but I prefer yellow if you're asking.

I prefer red. It matches the tail lights, and if your car is white, you gotta have some red cause its a Ferrari!

Getting a little tired of everyone doing the yellow calipers. Try red, matches the cylinder heads nicely as well.

I think I'd prefer yellow however I wouldn't do a red interior. If you're going all out with red contrasting stitching and a red tach why not get red calipers. Also with a black top you can get the CF center caps and maybe even the dark sport wheels too :D

But then again I couldn't even afford a center cap let alone the whole car so what do I know haha.

My vote is for red. For some reason you don't see it very often with white cars.

If you're doing shields, Yellow all the way. The red caliper/yellow shield combination is unappealing to me.

If it was my car, I would spec yellow calipers, silver centercaps, no shields, white or black tach, yellow stitching.

Go red calipers with red stitch and/or seat belts. The yellow in the shields is a different yellow to the calipers so they don't match.

After spending 2 days with a Bianco Avus with red calipers, I would suggest going with red.

Firstly there is more red on this car that picks up the red calipers better than yellow, (tail lights, red stitching, red manifolds etc)

Secondly quite a few on lookers commented on the red calipers as an aesthetic in context with the car.

I agree with Mark that the yellows come from a different palette and don't make a perfect match.

Red calipers really makes this car look smart.

good luck and enjoy the Italia
