I got an offer to take a Black on Black 2.5months ago instead of waiting for the Red/ Saddle>>> clearly I passed only to continue to wait till June... Red shows the sexy lines of the 599>>> not to mention the value of the Red/ Tan will always be stronger than a Black/ Black... needless to say, I disagree but either way,,,,,, you are driving a 599 ;)

I'm biased of course, but I would never take a red 599. I just don't think that a car that big looks good in red. Black Enzo's are currently trading for at least $150K over other colors and red Enzos are the least valuable in the market right now. This is not just speculation on my part. I am very close to the market, constantly looking for all kinds of cars and that's what I see right now.
I believe the myth of "resale Red" is just that - a myth.
Black is a wonderful color for the 599 and it looks smaller in black than in a lighter, brighter color like red. I would also not buy a large car like the 599 in yellow either. I think that red should be reserved for smaller V8 cars and Supercars, but the 599 is neither of those.
It is a glorious Grand Tourer and darker colors like black or silverstone suit it best. Dark blues like Pozzi will also look good.
Jorge, I think you are making a great choice and if you are are concerned about future value, a black car is always a safe bet.

there is a white/red 599for sale at www.classicdriver.co.uk/ - surprisingly pretty cheap, they also have the only white enzo for sale. what do you think of the white/red color combo? it is the best IMO.

i noticed that you had a cs, how does it compare with the 430? i prefer the looks of the cs, but if i had to choose would probably go with the 430.

Darker colors look far better in the 599. The car is quite large and bright colors like a red or yellow only make the car look larger. Red does show off the lines of the car well. But black makes the car look stealth like and aggressive. The dark colors like black and silverstone suit the car much better. In my opinion go for the black. Plus you already got to enjoy the red.

1 vote for Black / Black here...

As for Deelaw's comment of red/tan always being worth more,... that is usually true, but is by no means universally true... Look at black enzo prices...

IMO the reason Black enzo are worth more is simply because there are way less black enzos than red which themselves are not all over the place.

If you look at a black 360 vs a red 360 , the red will probably be more in demand.

Get the black! I would agree with the thought that the red and yellow on the 599 just make the car look to big and out of place.

Either way congrats on an excellent piece of machinery!!

I doubt that very much. Black is suddenly the color to have in any exotic, but IMO the best modern Ferrari in red is still the 355. Everything from then on became a little too big to look good in red. The Stradale however, in its minimalism, looks great in Rosso Corsa, which is the deeper red in the standard paint range. I think the Rosso Scuderia is too orange and takes away from the car's presence.

It's your car, so it's your call...

If it were my call, I'd definitely go with black/black... Congratulations...

Alex, does yours have black wheels...?

I would personally never own a black car, they are impossible to keep clean and show flaws much too easily. I would get a 599 in a dark red like Rosso Fiorano with cuoio interior.

For 599's I am more partial to yellow and monza rosso (like from the press pictures) than colors like black. it seems too much like a luxery car color, although it works on almost all cars. i just think since ferraris are one of few cars that can pull off the less mundane colors y not it like that because you can get black on like any car and it looks good. thats my opipion but it is all person preference like f1 vs. manual or standard wheels vs challenge.

Unless I am mistaken, Rosso Fiorano is available. With that said, I'm sure Ferrari could still paint it that color for you for a little extra $. A similar, and even better looking color, Rosso Monza is available on the 599, and only the 599.
