That's an ongoing debate in high spheres, with strong arguments on both sides.

There are plenty of sugar cane plantations in Brazil, so no problem.

That's how to win an argument. :p

    It's due to natural causes:
    - Ice mass changes - not unprecedented, not as modelled and not as hyped e.g. Minutes of the Royal Society, Opel et al, Joughin and Tulaczyk, Wingham et al
    - Glaciers - not retreating due to global warming, see Bookhagen et al
    - Ice shelves not collapsing – Ollier and Pain

Totally normal and there is nothing that can de done about it:
    - Sea level changes – see Douglas, Gregory et al
    - Global coasts growing not shrinking – Donchyts et al, and Duvat (coral attol island stability)

These fires have happened for decades:
    - Floods and Droughts - not intensifying e.g. Sheffield et al, Hanel et al, Macklin et al, Barredo
    - Wildfires -not increasing or intensifying see Doerr and Santin

All the arguments from climate change deniers.

But what about air pollution, energy waste, and quality of life, you don't care about that either?

The climate has always changed. Before man arrived even.

The world has been ending in 5 years for 70 years now.

I agree with that: climate change is cyclic and there is nothing we can do to stop it.

But on the meantime, mankind is depleting and wasting natural resources, destroying its habitat, and polluting the environment.

So looking for alternative energy sources, preserving nature and reducing waste is not so silly.

If not, we will end up living in a huge garbage field with nowhere to grow anything; that wouldn't be very clever, would it?

This is known as the "Ad hominem" fallacy: instead of trying to prove that the argument is wrong, you attack the person.

That's what 99% of politicians and 99% of journalists haven't learned in school: CO2 IS NOT A POLLUTANT!!!!

I agree with 100% of your post because CO2, the gas of life, is unrelated to all of the above. ;)

That's why I love ethanol: it's combustion doesn't produce the harmful susbstances that diesel's does and is much more cleaner than petrol's. When burned ethanol produces mainly water vapor and A LOT OF THE GOOD AND OLD CO2. :p

In high concentration, CO2 is harmful to life; people breathe better where there is low CO2 level.
Broadleave trees are the main beneficary of CO2, they thrive on it.
But hardly any road is lined with trees these days to absorb the CO2 emission, and trees have all but disappeared from our cities.
In fact we are destroying forests at an alarming rate and not replacing them.

In fact, I am not attacking you, and we have more in common on this subject than you think.

I am not a tree hugger, but we have to be sensible and take care of our environment.

Regardless of what society and the scientists think we are doing to this planet, the planet has cold climate changes and hot climate changes. This is proven in the ice cores that date back for millenia.

People will die when it happens...alot of people.

There is nothing we can do about it.

    It is inevitable.

    Entirely agree with you

But previous climate changes occured when the planet was less populated, and there was no (if any) man-made pollution to affect the environment

So, although we have to be fatalistic to a point, there is no need to make things worse by not caring at all

We may go to the moon, but we don't look very well after our own planet, IMO

Wow, how did Climate Change chat get into a Red Bull F1 discussion?

Tough day for Alex, I think this is it for him. Hopefully he lands back at Alpha.

All very true. But what the climate history has shown is that during WARM times is when the mankind thrived the most. So if the earth is warming, it might mean we will have better harvests and thus more food for the world population.

It's a complete collapse for Albon this year Not very good for his career prospect

But that's why we live in a crazy era where emotions and sentiment are passing over reason and science. CO2 is not pollutant, CO2 is not bad for the enviroment, and most importantly, human activity has little impact on whether or not the earth is heating up or cooling down (not sure if I'm being redudant with English).

There is zero case to retain Albon. Put Nico in the seat and let him get experience in the car and adapt to the team/systems.

It's very obvious that the human activity can change and damage the environment LOCALLY. The human activity has, however, little impact on the GLOBAL temperature of the Earth. That's the main point of discord I have with you.

    The Earth:

    - 71% is oceans
    - 29% is continents, of which 15% is either desert or ICE. From the 14% remaining, 7% is forest and just 7% is occupied by man.

So according to the politically-backed scientists of the IPCC, 93% of the Earth where a lot of CO2 is produced by oceans and volcanoes, plus the huge impact from the activity of the sun, has little to no impact on the Earth's temperature compared to the human activity confined on the rest 7%... Crazy...

Trouble is Hulkenberg or Perez don't fit the Red Bull model.

Taking them on board alongside Verstappen would negate their "ladder to success", and undermine Marko's role in the organisation.

Red Bull already stated they are going outside if they don't retain Albon so what you are stating is irrelevant given the present circumstances.
