    Hello

After owning this car for 18 months, I have decided to replace the upholstery.

I wanted to get a recommendation for an installer (local or web-based) to get new leather upholstery for my 97 F355 Spider. The car was mostly kept in Florida by the prior owners and the leather is rock hard plus the stitching is frayed (as it must have been cleaned with a stiff brush in the past).

    Has anyone done this before?

    Any local recommendations?

I'd call Classic Coach in NJ. This sounds like something they can do.

Montclair Auto Top and Upholstery, Montclair, NJ. They are old pros who do 100 pt. show car interiors. I had them redo the seats for my '78 308. Absolutely stunning, excellent quality leather and very high quality workmanship. Plus, they are very nice guys and always have some very cool cars around the place.

I'd go with Coach Trim in Danbury. Johan is AMAZING and when I was up there last week he was working on a 10k mile Dino, a Ghibli, 1950's Alfa Romeo, and a brand new Drophead for Miller. Coach Trim is where Miller Motor Cars does all their interior replacements, and where Farnbacher Loles does the Alcantara covering of all their Euro GT3 and Carrera GT seats. Amazing work.

Good to know, Matt. I'll be sending the GT3 there to have the Carrera GT seats recovered... They got a bit "rough" during the race!

I saw your car today. Do you have papers for all those Mexican bugs pasted across the front of your car? Aren't they considered illegal immigrants?

Another +1 for Johan @ Classic Coach. The BEST on the east coast, by far.
